Summary
Royce Wheeler thought he had it all - a great corporate job, a secure relationship, and a nice home in the city. When his omega fell pregnant, Royce was overjoyed - until he realized that the baby wasn't his. His partner had cheated on him with Royce's own boss! With his relationship in tatters and his career on the line, Royce is desperate to get out of the city and gain some perspective.
Patrick Murrin is facing a tough decision. As the only heir to his widowed omega father, he will be expected to take over the family business when his dad retires in a few months. He doesn't hate the diner - he works there himself, and with the amount of time he spent there as a child, it's like a second home. But his real passion is art, and the idea of never being able to follow his dream makes Patrick's heart sink in his chest.
A chance meeting between Royce and Patrick ignites an instant attraction - but when Royce's ex shows up the same day Patrick realizes his own unplanned pregnancy, claiming that the baby is his after all, Royce’s choice is painted in broad strokes: take a chance in this small town with an omega that makes his heart race? Or return to the city that used to hold his dreams?
Carter’s Crossing is a quaint little town nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains, where some people go to get away, others arrive to start over, and plenty just find themselves when they’re lost or brokenhearted. This contemporary mpreg series is for adults only and is sure to leave you believing in the magic of true love and happily ever afters! This series is a stand-alone series and can be listened to in any order.

Loved this story
I remember reading the book and enjoyed it very much so expected a lot from this audiobook. I wasn’t disappointed, the narrator Robin is excellent and really made this recording.

as good the ebook
The story is always 4 or 5 stars, because if I wouldn't like the story as ebook, I wouldn't listen to the audiobook.
The performance from the narrator is also very important for me. I can't listen to a lot, because my English as a non-native-speaker isn't so perfect to follow a whole story over hours, when the narrator speaks too fast or too sloppy. Normally I have to SEE the person, who is talking to me in English. It took me a little bit, to come into the narrator, but at the end, it worked. I only have to take a few breaks between. I'm just not yet finish with the book, but I listen enough to give a review.
PLEASE READ MY RATING SYSTEM!!!
To my ratings:
5* - very very good
it's like an A+
4* - very good and will be often re-listening
it's like an A
3* - it's more then a one-time-listening, but not more then twice a year.
it's like a B

There is nothing wrong to being a small town guy
This is the third in the series that I have listened to and I was listening as someone who obtained an advanced listener copy.
I have not listened to the books in order but this has been my favourite
The tale challenges the notion that you have only made it if you make it big in the city. It also explores whether it alright to hold onto what you want when it may mean missing out on other opportunities
I now get the background to the brewery which is interwoven through the other books.
I really enjoyed Robin Woodson's narration, he had a good range, for gruff, self-protective snark, sexy, humour and down right bitchy.

Brilliant
I loved listening Royce and Patrick’s story. The narrator really brought the story to life. As they both realised that they could have what they had always wanted with other, even though Royce’s ex boyfriend tried to mess things up for them.

What a mess Royce got himself into!
Royce had it good, his job and his boyfriend until he found said boyfriend with his boss 🤦🏻♀️ He finds Patrick though, a sweet hard working and flirty omega. He is just the right one until his ex shows up with the worst news. I enjoyed the read, Royce’s brother is a hoot; and the whole affair with Pat is messy and full of mistakes but also full of love and mutual admiration. Thomas is also quite a character, I’d like to see his story told.
Good narration specially on the sexy scenes. Well done!
