Summary
The final book in Dolores Redondo’s atmospheric Baztan trilogy, featuring Inspector Amaia Salazar. With masterful storytelling and a detective to rival Sarah Lund, this Spanish bestselling series has taken Europe by storm.
It begins with a murdered child. It ends in a valley where nightmares are born.
When Detective Inspector Amaia Salazar is called in to investigate the death of a baby girl, she finds an ominous sign that points to murder.
The girl’s grandmother tells the police that the ‘Inguma’ was responsible – an evil demon of Basque mythology that kills people in their sleep – Amaia is forced to return to the Baztán valley for answers.
Back where it all began, she comes face to face with a ghost from her past. And finally uncovers a devastating truth that has ravaged the valley for years.

Excellent end to the trilogy
Unpredictable interesting and eerie story. Which you can't simply turn off. Fantastic main character and sub characters . You need to listen to each book in turn as the plot is complicated but it is definitely worth it.

Different, in a very good way.
The trilogy is brilliant. A bit different to what I would normally listen too. I choose books on narrator rather than author these days, as a good narrator can make good and bad books worth listening too, whereas a good author can still be ruined by a bad narrator.
in this series of three books however, the author and narrator are well matched in the detective murder mystery with a twist.
I highly recommend this.

Intenso, trepidante y adictivo.

A wonderful listen!
Be warned - you probably won't be able to buy only one book of this series. Excellent narration, a wonderful sense of place, characters both believable and engaging.
Not an easy listen though.

Offering to the Storm
Thrilling stories. I love how the author finishes the story only to leave it wide open for the next one. Can’t wait for the follow up!!

Everything!
All 3 books in this trilogy are totally absorbing and I had to listen to them end to end. Not a subject I would normally want to listen to but written and narrated superbly.
I’ve already read them all once, now I’ve listened as well and I know I could listen again and still enjoy it.
