Summary
What happens when the cute mountain man you made out with in an ice-fishing shack turns out to be your brother's best friend? A whole lot of awkward, that's what.
Maggie's mind is reeling when she discovers the guy she became tangled up with at Marv's Bait & Tackle isn't a stranger like she thought.
The big snag: Sam and Maggie's chemistry is hot enough to melt ice, which makes keeping their secret far more difficult than either expected. Especially when one of them decides they want this arrangement to be more than just a catch and release.

HOOKED! Line and Sinker!
Amy Daws' books are becoming one of my auto-buys when it audiobooks downloads! This is my third of hers, and they simply get better and better! Next in Line doesn’t disappoint!
24-year-old Maggie is on a journey of self-discovery & growth when she drives through Boulder, Colorado. Noticing people Ice Fishing, she decides to try her hand at it! (she’s more courageous than me, I tell you!!)
This leads to the sweetest and most unique 'meet cute’ EVER!
Enter Sam! (swoon! Whom, I am totally willing to freeze my nips off for btw)
When Sam hears a guy's vulgar exchange with Maggie, his chivalrous side bursts out!! (What I wouldn’t do for a bit of that!) Their journey begins, and oh my goodness, what a great ride it is!! Heartwarming, funny and full of loveable personalities.
Teddy Hamilton and Erin Mallon's narration is simply amazing! Their differentiation between female and male dialogue is pure perfection, easy on the ears, as with some narrators, it’s just PAINFUL to listen to.
These two make a magnificent team. Teddy’s deep and sexy tone had my toes curling, and Erin's delivery and resonance for the male dialogue makes you forget it’s a female delivering it!! I can’t recommend this enough.

Amazing
Absolutely loved everything about this audio! Not only was it a fab story but the narration was spot on perfect!
I am pretty sure that Amy is the only author that could write a book about a bait shop and pull it off! Next in Line is the continuation of Wait with Me series, although it can easily be listened to as a standalone. This is Sam's story who we met in the first book Wait with Me.
I loved this story! Sam was a character in Wait with Me that you just wanted to see more of and Amy gave us that chance to get to know him a bit more.
Maggie I found a hard character to warm to at the beginning, and I found plenty of times wanting to give her a slap for not seeing what was right in front of her. She seemed very immature with all the lying also, but then she is young.
Overall, its another great story from a great author! I love Amy's work and now will be on countdown for the next one :)

Hook, Line & Sinker! 💘Sam💘Maggie💘
Consider me wowed, I loved this book from the start to the very end. It is well written, the storylines and characters are interesting and greatly developed. This is my first Amy Daws' book, I am not sure why or how but I am an overnight fan. “Next in Line” is the 2nd book in the “Wait With Me” series, I enjoyed it as a standalone. I did not feel lost or like I was missing something. The lead characters, Sam and Maggie were both awesome. I loved the chemistry between them too, it was smoking hot!! I enjoyed the secondary characters as well, Miles & Kate from the 1st book, Miles works for Sam and is Maggies big brother. Also liked Marv, he was a hoot. A lot is offered in their story, humor, drama, angst and romance. Love the fishing puns too. Amy Daws , thank you for this wonderful, enjoyable story.
I listened to the Audible edition and the narrators, Erin Mallon & Teddy Hamilton are wonderful storytellers and voice performers. They bring the characters to life from the pages to your ears!

Amazing hook line and sink
I have always been fascinated with brother best friends books. This book definitely did not disappoint. Maggie was dumped on Christmas Day by her football player boyfriend. She was to ashamed to let her family know so she set out to win her ex boyfriend back in the process falls in love with another man named Sam.

Who knew fishing could be this hot???
Amy Daws just knows how to get the balance between funny and heartbreaking and swoon just right. This is a fab book following Maggie as she tries to get over her boyfriend and at the same time try and win him back. Maggie never thought that she would meet and fall for the tall handsome fisherman who comes to her rescue but you get to go on Sam and Maggie's adventures and watch as they grow feelings. This book had me laughing so much I loved the relationship between Sam and Maggie it was so real and they just said it as it was no bull. Sam was a no nonsense guy who told Maggie straight which she so needed as she was a dreamer.
Erin Mallon can do no wrong she just draws you into the story and I could listen to her all day you forget that it's her doing the male and female voices she is just that good. Teddy Hamilton has a great alpha voice but more than that he is a fantastic story teller so together they are amazing.
I was gifted this book from Amy Daws and I am so happy she did as it was a great story and I had lots of fun listening.x

Fun with beards and ice fishing!
This was a fun listen, totally engaging with a couple who weren’t perfect by any means but I felt invested quite quickly. There were many laugh out loud moments, with dialogue that lightened my day.
This is a tale of age difference, small town ruggedness, beards, ice-fishing and evolution. The heroine, Maggie was slightly annoying and superficial; she seemed young and a little spoilt. Sam, her brother’s best friend, was mature in age and life experience, he was also a stand-up guy but a bit of a commitment-phobe. They did make for fun listening and it was definitely a case of opposites argue or maybe attract.
Maggie never really won my heart but Sam certainly did. The chemistry between these two was sparking (there’s a pun in there if you read this). The storyline itself was adventure-driven, secretive and entertaining.
I liked the narration, Teddy Hamilton was all ease to listen to. Erin Mallon was sometimes as enjoyable and sometimes a little whiney. Overall, this dual narration worked.
I voluntarily listened to a copy of this audiobook from the author.

4.5 Straight to my Favourites Pile Stars
Ahhh what can I say about this one but I LOVED IT !!!
Loved all of the characters and especially the fact that it still has Miles and Katie from Wait With me in it, I love a series that lets you see how other characters are doing and getting on.
This story is about Sam and Maggie.
Maggie decides to travel to find her adventurous side after a bad break up, and meets Sam the manager of the Tire Depot.
Sparks fly with these two, I absolutely loved them together, they were so cute, I loved Maggie's sass, and the one liners and banter between them both had me laughing out loud.
Narrated by Erin Mallon (My voice crush) and Teddy Hamilton (yes please!) these 2 were a match made in heaven, I can't wait to see what Amy Daws has for us next, because this series is definitely going into m favourites pile.

Laugh out loud funny!
There’s lots of sexy, heat, ice (lol), and so much more in this fun romance. There are so many laugh out loud moments as Sam and Maggie get to know each other in this delicious brother’s best friend novel by Amy Daws. The narrators are fantastic! And it’s an absolute must read that’s for sure!
