Summary
My Transgender Coming Out Story is the memoir of Parker Marie Molloy, a transgender woman from Chicago, detailing her upbringing, the struggles she had coming to terms with her transgender status, her experience starting hormone replacement therapy, and the act of building and sustaining relationships in a post-transition life. She also shares thoughts on gender, coming out, and the concept of self-discovery. This is an audiobook for anyone who has ever felt out of place, out of touch with themselves and the world around them.

Great listen
Really great listen. It hits home really hard, a very similar story to me. I’ve been out a few years but was forced into coming out. only recently started slowly feminising my clothing, listening to your story brought me to tears. I’d really recommend this to any other trans person or even a cis person looking for insight.

Very honest and emotionally moving
edit: today I was able to come back and finish listening to this audio book. I am glad I felt strong enough to do so. I am so impressed by Parker's clear yet emotionally honest sharing of her story. I am grateful to her for sharing it because she is so right when she talks about how easy it is to love and support trans people when you are shown them as people, not as some hypothetical monolith that the media tries to scare people with. She shares herself beautifully here
initial review:
I found this well read by the author, who shares a great deal with vulnerability and honesty. I have made it 45 mins through but am finding references to (spoiler maybe?) suicidal ideation difficult to hear right now so I hope to return and finish this book when I am at a point of feeling stronger. However I would still definitely recommend this as a listen for anyone who is cis like me but wants to understand what a trans person might go through. Thank you for writing this

Very Insightful Thank You
Firstly, a huge thank you to Parker for writing this hugeful insightful and impacted book. It was wonderful to read at times and terribly sad at others.
While I would recommend this book it comes with a word of warning. This book covers themes of suicide and self harm, elements of substance misuse, transphobia in the workplace and outside it. So do take care of yourself when reading.

Wonderful if Brief
Very emotive, deeply personal, and while it is short to short (more of an essay in story form than anything else) I would argue this suits the content. Its not very thorough though, and focuses largely on Parker's relationships.
As someone currently undergoing a very simmilar transiton - from masculinity into womanhood, hearing this perspective from the author herself is very comforting. It's nice to know someone has been through it all and is still fighting, it makes one feel less alone in the world.
I would advise this to anyone interested in the topic; its short and an intersting window into a troubled life. It won't drench you in anything biological, densly philosophical, or artistically pretentious, but it will give you one perspective, if nothing else, feels honest.

Insightful
As a cisgender it is interesting to see what it is like for a transgender, keeping in mind that it is the experience of one single person and not necessarily of all. As the author said, most people don't know any transgender person and therefore we don't know much about it. So this books is educational. Thanks Parker Marie Maloy to share it with us.
