Mischief managed 🤩

SIGHT!!!  I'm so smitten by this story, this is one of those books that makes you grin the entire time throughout it, it's so heartwarming, with some funny moments and so many swooning ones, I loved every minute of it.

It was fantastic seeing how Mia went from being "Good girl Mia" to a more open, sassy, adventurous o Mia. She had so much weight on her shoulders, and carried so much guilt, blaming herself for what happened to Jake. But then, thanks to Derek she starts getting out of her cocoon and start seeing the world different and she became a better version of herself. As for Derek, gosh that guy, he was fantastic and the chemestry between him and Mia was everything. And Jane the Kitten, such a cute addition to the book.

Another thing I really liked were the updates we had from Cam and Blake, that make me so happy because I love that couple so much and Cam really deserved so much happiness.

What can I say for the narrattion, it's Sarah Pukett!!! I'm so happy she got to narrate this second book, because her voice is perfect for the story, I can listen to her voice everyday without getting tired of it. It was perfect.

keeps getting better

an easy 5 stars , best to listen to my life as a country album first before this one as it will make more sense in certain parts , and if you've listened to that one you'll know just how amazing this one is too , this story follows Mia , Jake's sister and her life after book one where she gets swept into an amazing adventure full of laugh and heartache and comes out the other side
with some spelunking and a kitten named Jayne thrown in you just know its gonna be a crazy ride .

Oh. My. Word!!!

I love this book!!! I was so excited to read this book because I loved Jake and Cam from My Life as a Country Album. Mia is the little sister of Jake, and she gave him a kidney when he needed it! She is riddled with guilt.. unnecessary guilt... and she needs someone who loves her for her.

Derek is a musician.. and he’s smitten... but can he make Mia come out of her shell, and get past her guilt.. and love him? I want to tell you.. but I can’t!

This book is so very worth the listen!! Sarah Puckett has the perfect voice for these characters, and her ability to make me feel the feelings of the characters is amazing! I love listening to her!!

Sweet story.

Sarah Puckett performed as I’ve come to expect her to, amazingly.

Mia had resigned herself to a life of safety and mediocrity but it was all blown to pieces when sweet, sexy, rocker-boy Derek entered her life. I love the adventure these two went on; their journey to love was sweet.

Here's to the book boyfriend.

Very much a romance book. With the focus on the lead male character and his band. What I liked was that the girl in this book loved book's. So she refers to him as a book boyfriend which I found very funny. There's a few sad moment's throughout the book. But a very enjoyable listening experience.

Great listen

Sarah is phenomenal at story telling. She has a knack for conveying every emotion and really sucking into the story. The author wrote a terrific story about finding yourself and love. I enjoyed how she took some great songs and told Mia and Derek’s story. It was different and held my interest from start to finish. Will definitely be listening/reading more of this author.

Love, love Love!

Mia and Derek's story is a beautiful story of metamorphosis. Mia is so use to being in everyone shadow that she don't under stand her own worth. A road trip that made her wall come down bit by bit with every stop that was made. Derek broke through Mia's shell so she could live again. Mia gave Derek a reason to move on. Not a heart breaking a the first book, but just as intense. A must have book.

This is a truly amazing story. It’s Mia’s story and her three week journey with a hot, up and coming Rock Star Derek Waters. On this journey Mia finds love, but most importantly she finds away to forgive herself for a death, that of her beloved brother Jake and the guilt she has been carrying around for four years.
Sarah Puckett did a fantastic job and brought life to these characters with her narration.

PS, this is a standalone, but to better understand Mia you should listen to My life as a country album to get the full impact of Mia’s grief, (that is if you haven’t already)

Love this world and these characters so much

Ohhhhhhh I love listening to Sarah Puckett, there is just something in her voice and the way she presents a story that just pulls me right in and makes me feel comfortable.

I am so pleased to hear Mia's story, and that it relates back to Jake and Cam's story throughout. It's interesting to see the point of view of someone who was on the outside of the story but still right in the middle of it. I Iove the way this moves forward in Mia's life and how she grows and changes throughout the book. I really love this world and was more than happy to immerse myself in it again. Though everytime Jake was mentioned my heart constricted a little. Its great that the other characters were brought through into this book. And boy those new characters!!! I hope we get to hear more from this series.

So cute!

I really really really enjoyed this book! I think I've been waiting to get the chance to read this book since I read the first book. That was a beautiful and sad story. This story doesn't compare to that in the deep factor, but that's okay. It was a different story entirely and didn't need the depth. The narrator was terrific as always. She's one of my favorites. I don't really have much to complain about as far as this book goes. I really related to Mia in so many ways. There were some things I wish had been explained in more detail. Especially a certain scene where Mia reveals something to her parents that she's kept a secret for a long time. I'd of liked to see more emotion and closure there. Overall, I really enjoyed this. I can't wait to read many more books by this author. She really knows how to pull a reader in and emotionally wreck them in all the best ways possible. I fully recommend this book and the book before it.
