About this listen
Mitokoa, an idyllic, proud little town. Beautiful. Picturesque. Nothing special about it...until a gruesome murder happens in broad daylight in a busy cafe.
When Detective Katelyn Rush is sent in to oversee the investigation, she knows nothing about Mitokoa, only its reputation. When she arrives, she soon finds more out of place than a murder. Something else has hit this town, something more horrendous than a killer. Worse still, it doesn't seem to have left.
From the second she arrives, time is ticking - to uncover the murderer, the source of the madness, and the connection between them before she is swallowed up in the insanity as Mitokoa's next victim.

Suspense, psychological fear and a gripping read.
So I don't do horror in general but i do like a psychological thriller. And this is one of the most psychological roller coasters of fear and suspense I have read and I loved it. And it left me wanting more - in the best way possible and I avidly await the next in the series and can only guess as to which sin might be next. Assuming it follows a pattern of sins which I rather hope it does.
I I cannot believe this is the authors first book. It is written so well. The story flows, the wording is great and the images that pass behind my eyes as I read are vivid and grab you within the first few pages and don't let you fall until it lands you safe but shell-shocked at the end. There were times I was apprehensive to turn the page but utterly compelled to keep reading. I look forward to the next book in the series and being impatient for good well written stories it can't come soon enough.
I bought the book as it was autographed, got it on kindle to read as I have arthritis and can't hold books open for long and now I have just bought the audio book so I can listen to it on a long car journey and its going to be great hearing the author tell the story her way. I'm intrigued.
