Summary

Moving with my three best friends and our seven kids into a dilapidated brownstone in Boston may have seemed like the most insane thing I’d do this year. Apparently the universe said hold my beer.

Because last night I got drunk and married my boss.

Don’t worry, it’s all fake. Or at least everything after 'I Do' will be.

Beckett Langfield is grumpy, rich and hates kids. I’m an overworked, overstressed, and overweight single mom. The only reason we’re getting married is because he needs to fix a PR disaster and I am available. As in sitting next to him, in a bar, when he has this brilliant idea.

Considering I just got divorced, I’m not looking to do that again. But Beckett makes me an offer that I literally can’t refuse, so I don’t.

He’ll help fix up our broken house and all I have to do is take a few pictures and pretend we’re happily married.

Easy peasy.

Now if someone could just remind him that it’s all fake.

Authors Note: Mother Faker is book one of the Momcoms Series and features an accidental marriage between a billionaire grump and a plus size single mom who happens to work for him where there is only one bed, tons of laughs, a lot of ducks, and it's always been you vibes.

Belive me. This is a f****ng must read

I usually don’t go for books with the single parent trope it’s just not my jam but boy do I not regrett that I gave this book a chanse. I had me howling with laughter in the first chapter and swooning my ass of for Beckett like a love sick teenager. But that isn’t just what makes this book so great. It’s the way the author writes about the tough stuff we go through in life with so much insite, love and humor that just makes it so f****ng good. The narrators was f****ng great too. Did a AMAZING job bringing all the characters to life in a top of their field way. So, to round this review up this book was a all around chef’s kiss experience.

loved the story and humour

one character a little o.t.t. The man hater. Slightly slow at times. However other than that I giggled, shouted, groaned and loved this book! It would have been better to have different narrators for all the women I think. The prologue got very , very confusing and I nearly gave up right in the 1st 40 mins! Glad I didn't 😊

Did I just swoon?

OMG I am in love. Liv and Beckett are the best. This is the first audiobook I have truly felt immersed in.

Joe Arden and Maxine Mitchell were perfect in the roles and their portrayal of Liv and Beckett had me laughing out loud like a loon as I walked to work.

The story of the Mom Com ladies and how they support each other is inspiring. Thank you to the author who brought these characters to life.

This is a book I enjoyed and I will be telling all my Contemporary Romance lovers to not only pick up a copy but I will highly recommend the audio book as a total indulgence.

A solid 5 star novel and narration.

Cute & Entertaining

This sweet & spicy marriage of convenience, grumpy/sunshine, single mum of three, workplace story between Beckett & Liv. Liv is recently divorced after her husband was cliche AF and had an affair with the nanny, she and her three best friends Dylan, Shayla & Delia who also happen to be single mums decide to all move in together to help each other raise their kids (7 of them in total between the four women) & support each other. They move in to a rundown house passed on to Delia after the death of a relative. Beckett is in the midst of a PR crisis and is in need of a wife with kids to help smooth over his image, convenient that he has carried a torch for Liv since the day he met her and she is now available to fill that roll.
The story is full of cute & funny moments between all the characters but especially between our MCs & Beckett with Livs three kids, and the nicknames Beckett gave them made my heart melt. He is completely obsessed with Liv and any chance he gets to refer to her as his Wife the man takes it and the way he builds her up is beautiful. I loved the found family aspect and the dynamics between each character including the kids & the representation of female friendships & motherhood really resonated with me. This was an all-around fun and entertaining read that I thoroughly enjoyed. Maxine Mitchell and Joe Arden were, as always, fantastic. 🌶🌶
