About this listen
Conor Maguire and his daughter, Barb, planned to weather the apocalypse by keeping to themselves, hidden from the world in their compound deep in the Appalachian Mountains. Their approach failed, allowing bad men to get too close and kidnap Barb. After rescuing her in a violent bloodbath that decimated the kidnappers, Conor realized it was time to enlist his community to work together to improve their security. They had better work fast.
Unbeknownst to Conor, the kidnappers he killed had a boss, and he’s none too happy about the loss of his men. He’s marching in their direction and building an army as he goes, determined to find this Mad Mick who everyone is talking about and hang his head from a stick.

mad mick
what can I say , I love Kevin Peirce narration but if Conner lived in the US since he was a boy the Irish accent would have been watered down with an American one and Barb would not have had an Irish accent as she was born and bred in the US .
but the Irish accent from Kevin Peirce was terrible
as it also was a wrong Accent as the accent used was a Dublin Accent, well us in Northern Ireland
have a different one the accent we speak is more the Liam Neeson or Roma Downy or indeed Rory McIlroy .
Connors political view is different from the majority
of his fellow Irish men in Northern Ireland.but it showed not the romantic picture that most IRA men have but the way they murder innocent old lady's who helped a dying human being not on his one pass from this life .
I myself was a home service British Soldier who served all through the troubles and have seen hate from Republicans . which was showed by Connors grandfather .
the book was excellent really good loved it .
just wanted to keep listening to cant wait for the 3rd
not.
