About this listen
Mason Greene returns home from the war, but people see his episodes and want to have him committed to a mental hospital. However, no matter how hard he tries, he can't stop being drawn back into the fighting in his mind.
He flees to Colorado and secludes himself on a farm, providing for himself and never venturing out. That all changes, however, when he discovers an exhausted woman collapsed on his property. She’s endured a tragedy of her own, but he never thought rescuing her would change his life in so many ways.

Fall in love with Mason & Carrie
These broken men are so fun to see finding their happiness. Mason is a veteran, home and a hermit is hides from the public so no one sees his PTSD. When he comes across Carrie, hurt and on the ground, he takes her home, takes care of her overnight while a storm passes. Now he has been told that to keep her reputation in tact, they must marry. Carrie has some baggage too, but the two begin their platonic life together. But God has a plan for this couple. Drawing him out of his shell and he give her the feeling of worth, the two find a comfortable rhythm. But will they ever give in to their feelings? Will Mason realize what he is missing in life? Will Carrie be able to live life as friends? This story is beautiful, as the two live and learn from each other, following their faith and following their paths.
Jared Walters is wonderful as he tells this story. His voice gives just the right inflections to Mason, giving his a stubborness, a bit of a chip on his shoulder, but still showing his true feelings. He switches to Carrie with ease, giving her a sweet and loving feel, at times of frustration and love. It's a fantastic mix and spot on performance.
