Summary
Jocelyn Wright would prefer to be outside, with her twin brother, instead of in drawing rooms and social events. She has had to hide her true self, and pretend to be the young lady everyone expects. But, as Jonas gets ready to attend Philadelphia College, the colonies’ rebellion against the crown heats up, and her family is forced to quarter British soldiers. That's when Bennet Hart comes into the picture, and changes come much too fast, for even her.

A great start to what looks like a great series!
Josie and her twin brother are young adults still living at home during the revolution. Unfortunately for Josie her mother is a social climber and insist on making an advantageous marriage for her into her chagrin it’s to the reprehensible lieutenant who is staying in their home during the war. Thankfully the other British soldiers staying with them looked out for Josie and let her know important things to avoid the lieutenant Josie is independent and private and only shows the smart intelligent, capable woman that she is to her twin brother her parents and the rest of the world wouldn’t understand, but when she meets her brothers good friend mr. Bennet heart, she thinks she may have found a kindred spirit. At first though she is leery but the more she sees him the more she likes him. The only problem she has is what it this loyalist find out her in Jonas or patriots? Not to mention the lieutenant is dead set on her being his wife and going to England win the war is over. This book was so good I absolutely love Janice say Hopkins books and cannot get enough. I can’t wait until book 2 is on audio. As far as the narrator goes I think his narration was great but when he did the different text for the characters it seemed a bit Stilton, but not so much that it made it on enjoyable. I have heard some bad narrators and I wouldn’t put him in that category and would listen to a book narrated by him again I just thought it could’ve been a little bit better. Having said all that I highly recommend this book and can’t wait for more books from the idioms and clichés theories. Please forgive any grammatical or punctuation errors as I am blind and dictate my review.

Christian Historical Romance
Set in the unrestful time before American Independence, a beautiful love story unfolds. While their relationship has to be a secret, their feelings develop over time and despite their situations!
I loved the story! The narration was good! His best character voice was the evil and spiteful British soldier.
