original story line

Believable, original, well written, well read. Light reading but excellent for the genre. Worth a listen

Superb!

Gosh this was amazing! Phenomenal.
I loved the strong intelligent women , capable of holding their own at work.
Liked the supportive relationships between them, and the romance between their hero and heroine was just lovely. It was hilarious in places .
Narrator was excellent… this would be transition wonderfully on to the big screen

Narrator spoiled it

I think this is probably a reasonable listen, but the narrator doesn't give the characters any personality. The scenario seems interesting, but because of the narrator, I was struggling to pay attention by chapter 4.

loved it

I loved this story, I grew up watching all the old films with my nan so knew most of the films mentioned in this book, I just thought it was a fab story and really engaging for the reader.
I will say I have listened to books with this narrator before and it does take a bit of getting used to her odd cadence but after a while you get used to it so I'd encourage persevering with it if you can

Great story! (but poor naration)

The plot was original and the characters had great depth and felt very realistic and genuine. The narration was very weak unfortunately which I found distracting/irritating in places, but overall a decent listen.
