About this listen
Want to expand your Korean vocabulary with almost no effort? Are you planning a trip to Asia? Or sharpening your skills for work? Just press play on this audiobook when you’re sleeping, meditating, or doing chores around the house. Learn new vocabulary while actively listening, or passively while you’re doing other things.
This audiobook contains:
- More than 1000 common Korean words and phrases
- All original music (composed and performed by South African DJ and producer Spirante Beat) specifically engineered to relax your mind
I'm sure your first question is: Can you actually learn a foreign language while you’re asleep? Well, according to a Swiss research study in 2014, the answer is unassailably, yes! In this study, a group of German speakers was given a list of unfamiliar Dutch words to study. Half were instructed to get some sleep while they listened to long lists of Dutch words and translations. The other half was instructed to stay awake. Four hours later, they were tested, and the group that listened while they slept had significantly higher recall. The study concluded that people can indeed absorb new information passively during non-REM sleep - which is the deep sleep we get in the first few hours of the night.
This audiobook is divided into six chapters, each with different kinds of vocabulary, and with different music. Choose a different chapter each night, or loop the audiobook to have a continuous stream. Some listeners - those with more experience with the foreign language - have reported that these recordings allow them to dream in that language!
Sit back, relax, enjoy, and learn!

Gem for K-Drama Fan
I bought this book for my daughter because she loves watching K-Dramas and has always wanted to learn the language. I thought it would be a great idea since we are running out of things in common that we can talk about. She loved it! The narrator did such a fantastic job making all those difficult sounds come alive; the way he pronounced each syllable was perfect. Thank you so much!

Essential for beginners!
I decided to go further and learn the Korean language. I already had a vocabulary started but decided to learn while sleeping. This audiobook is far better than I could have expected. Thanks for such a great audiobook and for taking my learning to the next level.

What a great idea
I've heard about this language learning technique before, but never tried it. Now I'm glad I did, because I was seriously impressed by how much I could remember. I feel like it works. The narrator is lovely to listen to as well, and the chapters well divided into different topic groups to choose from. Excellent audiobook!

As a Korean American, I'm impressed!
I was born and raised in the States but my parents are immigrants from Korea. I speak some Korean, but it's broken at times and super informal.
I've tried a few intermediate books in the past, but none really provided what I needed so I decided to start at the very beginning. This book has been easy to learn.

Wonderful book, great for beginners!
This audiobook stands out from other Korean language instructional materials. It is well organized for gradual language acquisition. However, individuals who cannot or will not learn Hangul will not be able to get very far into the book.

Helpful audiobook
I never thought I could learn some Korean while I sleep, but it works. This audiobook is good for both children and adults to learn most common words and simple phrases, like most popular vocation phrases. I recommend this book.
