Very poor performance
If this book wasn’t for you, who do you think might enjoy it more?
This is very poor. It more like fly on the wall experiance of a couple chatting. I didn't learn very much at all and i have to agree with the other post that it's not for listening too whilst driving etc. At the really annoying accent of the Amber is the icing on the cake for the 2 star review.

Frustrating in the Extreme
What would have made Learn Chinese - Ultimate Getting Started with Chinese Box Set, Lessons 1-55 better?
Scrap them and start again with an emphasis on actually teaching Chinese would be a start.
What was most disappointing about Innovative Language Learning’s story?
As someone who is attempting to absorb a new language i quickly found that i began to resent the persistent meanderings in the content away from the teaching of Chinese. I would not recommend this set to anyone starting out and there is far to little content for it to be useful to anyone with more experience of the language.
How did the narrator detract from the book?
Voice talent was fine, content was lacking.
