About this listen
This New Adult Romance can be described as Friends meets The Real World. Expect fist fights, drugs, sex of varying degrees, crude humor, and competitive alpha males. Definitely for mature audiences only.
Virgin. Sex addict. Daredevil. Alcoholic. Smartass ... Jackass. Her five friends are about to be filmed. Reality TV, be prepared.
Rose Calloway thought she had everything under control. At 23, she's a Princeton graduate, an Academic Bowl champion, a fashion designer, and the daughter of a Fortune 500 mogul. But with a sex addict as a sister and roommate, nothing comes easy. After accepting help from a producer, Rose agrees to have her life filmed for a reality television show. The Hollywood exec is her last chance to revive her struggling fashion line, and boundaries begin to blur as she's forced to make nice with a man who always has his way.
Twenty-four-year-old Connor Cobalt is a guy who bulldozes weak men. He's confident, smart-as-hell and lives with his equally ambitious girlfriend, Rose Calloway. Connor has to find a way to protect Rose without ruining the show. Or else the producer will get what Connor has always wanted - Rose's virginity.

Not the best
In the fourth book in the addicted series (first book in the Calloway Sisters), we tell the story of Connor and Rose. We first meet Connor and Rose in the earlier addicted books. Rose is the elder sister of Daisy and Lily. She’s OCD, controlling, prideful, smart, but also at times quite stupid due to her pride, and a little bit ridiculous. I like Rose as the protective elder sister, the one who stands upto her mother, but in the partnership with Connor not so much. I just find her generally irritating. Connor is manipulative, controlling, smart, conceited and narcissistic. Again I like him with Ryke and Loren, but not with Rose.
This book concentrates on Connor and Rose and Rose’s idea to have the six of them take part in a reality show. I really had to suspend disbelief with this one as I really struggled with the idea of Loren, Lily and Ryke all agreeing to this. It just doesn’t fit with their characters. Nonetheless once I got my head around it, I was able to enjoy the ride. We have an interfering Producer, various scenes involving the six of them, again quite episodic like addicted for now, and due to Rose’s refusal to ask for help she’s managed to put them all in a position where things aren’t what they seem, and could go pear shaped very quickly.
The book tells the story from Rose and Connor’s duel POV. I found them irritating, and I’m not a fan of the Dominant/Submissive trope, and the collar thing made me shudder. Therese Plumber did a great job, but Mark Boyet sounded too old for the part of Connor, but other than that he did OK.
It’s probably required reading if you want to listen to the series.

Really enjoyed
I had no idea what to expect having not read any previous books by these authors. It did not matter that I had not read any previous books, but I may have had a better understanding of the characters in the early chapters had I read the Addicted Series. It didn't take me long to fall in love with the Calloway sisters and the men in their lives. The story follows Rose Calloway and her boyfriend, Connor Cobalt, who agree to have their lives taped for 6 months for a reality tv programme, along with her sisters and their friends. So in the house we have a virgin, a 17 year old model, a sex addict, and an alcoholic. Let's not forget the testosterone fuelled men, and of course they're hot has hell. Loved all the characters, all very strong in their own way. I even liked the super villain Scott the producer, who I so wanted to get his comeuppance. A really enjoyable read

my first audio of this series
this was my first delve into this series in the world of Calloway sisters and I loved it!
I initially found this book by searching the narrator out as I really love her voice.
this book starts in the middle of the Calloway series and the family are about to embark in a reality series, this book focuses on Rose and Connor

Vacuous nonsense
Just don’t bother. This is seemingly endless, mindless drivel. There is a plot void of gigantic proportions. I can’t imagine who would want to listen to this. The narrators did what they could with little to work with. Avoid.

Terrible. modern day Mills & Boon
This is the worst audible book I have listened to in 8 years. The plot was thin, the characters 2 dimensional and the female narrator's attempts at doing the male voices was frankly ridiculous. Do not waste your time listening to it.
