Nothing new so American!

Any additional comments?

Nice story but totally aimed at America...with dollars, and american seasons, nothing new to be learnt. Story built around quotes, but the reality is those in the true inner circle of The Duchess and her family would not be giving the quotes disappointing.

Interesting but mediocre in places

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

I think I learned something about Kate I didn't know before but frankly, the people who comment on these things are never going to say anything bad about Kate so it ended up feeling a bit fake and even sycophantic in places. There was a lot of assumptions and conjecture also.

What could Katie Nicholl have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

It plodded along fairly well but it wasn't written in a particuarly interesting way.

What about Sue Pitkin’s performance did you like?

I thought it was ok, but didn't really hold my attention to be honest.

Did Kate: The Future Queen inspire you to do anything?

It made me slightly more interested in finding out more about other members of the royal family, but this isn't an inspiring book.

Kate: The Future Queen

This book was written by one of The Daily Mail's royal correspondents, Katie Nicholl for the US market, hence why any amount of money is expressed in dollars rather than British pounds . Although it starts off being rather unctuous, saccharine and cloying, it isn't quite as sycophantic as it seems. I particularly enjoyed hearing about Kate's mother, Carole Middleton's quest for advancement and Uncle Gary Goldsmith's indiscretions at his Ibizan villa, 'Le Maison De Bang Bang'.

The narrator was fine. I'm fairly sure that she misprounounced Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall's daughter's surname though.

Good but Narrator spoiled it for me

Story was interesting and entertaining but the narrator's voice was so 'affected' and annoying. she must have swallowed marbles for breakfast and came across as trying too hard. A pity because it had the makings of a 5 star listen for all royal enthusiasts

If you are a royal fan you'll love it.

it's extremely complementary to Kate I found the constant compliments towards her appearance "she's beautiful"," perfect Kate" eye rolling. Seriously the the way the author constantly makes a point of focusing on Kate's appearance was borderline sexist in my view. I'm not interested in my future Queen's appearance I'm interested in her mind.

I don't feel after listening to this book that I am any more knowledgeable about Kate as a person or even her relationship with William.
the best way I can some this book up is that it's really a compilation of Daily Mail articles put together.

But if you like that sort of thing and are interested in iBritish culture then I think this book will be an enjoyable read. For me it was a bit of a on the boring side

great read

I really enjoyed this book. Starts off a little slow to get into as the early chapters discuss Kate's family history. Middle to end chapters I couldn't put down. Facanitating story of Kate and Williams relationship and romance. Kate sounds a little too perfect in parts. A great read for information on Kate, as I knew nothing about her until now.

Excellent read

A very good read a lovely story of Catherine and then her relationship with Prince William and then into the Royal Family.
Couldn’t stop listening to the story a true fairy tale.
