Summary
This powerful self-help audiobook will change the way you see your past and transform the way you live now.
Do you struggle to find happiness in yourself or in your relationships? Do you have issues with your physical or mental health such as fatigue, anxiety, sleep problems, addictions or depression? Do you feel emotionally numb, or are you unable to truly feel your emotions? You are not alone. And maybe you need to stop blaming yourself.
We are all affected by our early experiences both good and bad. But for many of us, the patterns of our younger years have damaged us as adults, leaving us unable to truly feel or form lasting positive relationships with ourselves and others.
As children, we're dependent on those around us to meet our emotional needs for us the need for boundaries, safety and love. When these key needs go unanswered, the template for good mental health in adulthood is not properly formed. As adults, we can learn to meet these needs for ourselves, and to break free from a life of unnecessary suffering. Doing so doesn't just heal the impact of our past, it also helps us unlock our true potential in life.
Childhood trauma will continue to trap us throughout our lives if we don't seek to confront it. Drawing on his own healing from childhood trauma and his clinical work with thousands of patients, Alex Howard sets a clear path to understanding your own unique blueprint from childhood and then provides a clinically proven reset plan for healing.
It's Not Your Fault will help you to understand your trauma and heal its impact, build better boundaries and connect to your emotions to create healthy and fulfilling relationships.

Is not my FAULT
Fantastic. Don’t hesitate to read / listen.
I am for once beginning to realise it is not my fault! eg Howard has shown me the poor coping mechanisms I once developed to keep me ‘safe’ and survive have no place in my life ; they no longer serve me well. It was a way to cope and zone out at the time when I had no responsible adults.
I am now learning new tools to utilise and integrate them into my daily practice. I have a sense of hope and calm. Life will still throw curve balls but I will with practice be able to not overthink and restore peace and reset my nervous system.
Thank you Howard

Highly recommend if you have experienced trauma
Great book and accompanying course. I loved Alex’s stories that he included and his clinical experience makes this a wondeful resource

Have just finished and am starting it again!
I rarely leave reviews but this one is so worthy. Thank you Alex, thank you.
I’ve really connected with how he disseminates his wisdom and knowledge and am now keen to actually do the work in the book.
I adore that he acknowledges neurodivergence. Yes, in a small way, but even in those sentences, I felt seen. That is MASSIVE.
It’s very well put together and in easy-to-digest sections. The only reason I knocked off a star for performance is because I felt there could be slightly longer pauses between sections within a chapter and also between chapters. I realise this may be an editing thing. And also, I sometimes lost the last word of a sentence because of how Alex speaks but I got over that quite quickly. I wouldn’t want him to change his innate way of speaking!
All in all, it’s a really empowering listen and I’m feeling more hopeful that I can find a way through, with Alex’s help. Just a shame I can’t afford to have him work 1:1 with me! One can only dream.
A very worthy listen, folks! 🙏

Very insightful, failure w/ lack of PDF, via link
Alex is personable and insightful
Seems like keep referring to his YouTube programs and results (which I still have to search for)
Keep referring to his website, which I signup for the companion details/worksheets,
He got my email but the page, is welcoming but still want to me to ‘enroll’ to have access to the material..
But “ This course is closed for enrollment.” .. going around in circle.
So, it’s ok, but should just include the companion pdf instead of harvesting people’s details without providing anything in return!
