Summary

Damien was a simple man, cruising on the highway of life. A goddess of temptation lures him into a deal he scoffs at. Superstition is for the foolish. Small problem: She's real, her ritual works, and Damien is magically teleported into a strange new realm.

Damien awakens in Nordan, a land of myth and magic. A realm where humans battle legendary creatures for the amusement of the gods. In a war between man and myth. Damien's powers set him above the rest, a lord of life and death - enemy of all. Stranded, but not alone, will he perish, or conquer his way home?

I really liked it

I loved this book, the narration I personally liked. The story kept my interest the whole way through. It kept me guessing as to what was going to happen and I plan on getting the next one

I really liked it

I was concerned at the start of the book it was going to be overly sexual considering how the goddess was at the start but that never happens this book dose how ever contain a very interesting world full of different well thought out races and I really hope there is another book on the way hopefully the same length

Enjoyable start to this series

The world-building, mechanics and particularly the characters combine well to deliver an enjoyable listen with this book, one that doesn't really drag despite the extensive runtime and still provides ample setup for any subsequent books in the series too.

The narration mostly works out fairly well, except that the pacing just feels too slow and even if people do not usually increase the playback speed, I would recommend that they do so with this book.

Overall, an entertaining listen that also sets up the series well and at the same time delivers good value for a listenr's credit too with the length of it.

fantasy LitRPG

A bit different then your regular LitRPG as it's a mix of fantasy as well with our MC being isekaid to another world, luckily for him it wasnt truck kun, but for real it is a great story with great narrators which together bought the story more alive. The MC gets a class which makes him an outcast with the good human cities which makes him work more along the monster side but takes neither side. MC does not start OP but it's more of an progression story with the MC learning how hes nee abilities work along with the new world.
Also it's a looooong audio which is another plus.

tiktok voice

The story seems reasonable and Landon Reid is pretty good but Erin Bateman sounds like every generic tiktok automated voice and it's distracting the whole time

Had potential

Listening to the narrators feels like they are having a conversation in two different rooms
Very distracting!!!
So much so I’m requesting a refund of my credit !!!!!
