About this listen
In a world that’s burning, where it’s every man for himself, all they can do to survive is hold on to each other....
A slow burn MMM romance set in a dystopian world. The first book in an exciting trilogy!
The world has changed. Tan has survived three years in a reintegration camp he was sent to for being gay, but he's at the limit of what he can endure, even with the help of his best friend, Austin.
When a massive meteor shower creates chaos at the camp, Austin and Tan take the chance to escape. They’re joined by Mack, a newbie at camp who is an expert in survival but knows nothing about love...or anything else.
But when they discover human-like aliens have landed on Earth with war on their agenda, their escape becomes a hell of a lot more dangerous. They grow close, but without power and food and no safe place to stay, how will they survive? Where can they find freedom...and love?
While the world around them burns, all they have are each other.
Ignite is the first book in the suspenseful Ignite trilogy, a slow burn MMM romance set in an alternative world. The first book ends in a cliffhanger, but the series will end with a HEA.

Exciting
I loved both the ebook and audiobook of Ignite and finished the story in just over 24 hours. Set in an alternate world with many parallels to our own, the author has incorporated several of today's issues into this novel. Despite the seriousness at times, this is an exciting read, and this is carried forward into the narration by Kenneth Obi.
As usual, I found voices matched the personalities of the three main characters perfectly. Unusually, I didn't have a real favourite. Sometimes, it was sweet Tan who appears to be the weakest but has so many (surprising) strengths. Then it was Austin who seems to be a natural leader, but has worries and insecurities that allow a softer side to peep through. And innocent Mack who can't be6he has feelings for 2 men and whose survivalist background is so useful. All are beautifully written and brought to life.
Ignite is an excellent introduction to the series of 3 books and it says everything when I went straight into the second book. 5 stars all round.

Fast Moving, Kenneth Obi Does a Fantastic Job!
Okay that was seriously fun! I'm very glad I've got the second one already loaded and ready to go.
I'm doing the audio version, performed by Kenneth Obi. He's doing a great job with these guys - the dialogue is fast moving, and there's a lot of banter. Mr. Obi has a distinct voice for each character and their personalities really come through.
If you're going to do this series, do it in audio. I hope I won't be waiting long for the third one to be published.

Glad I gave it another chance...
I tried this one when I first bought it and within a few minutes I just felt like I wasn't going to enjoy it. It felt a little far-fetched. There was an act of extreme violence at a camp the main characters were, and I just thought it was a little extreme, and unlikely. I won't go into detail because I don't want to spoil it, although it was only really a minor detail.
However, I decided to give it another shot a few weeks later, and it's not half bad. It's a good idea. I think the author is still new to writing, which might explain a few of the problems I had with the actions and events in the story. It felt a little naive in parts and too fluid. Like, there doesn't seem to be any second guessing between the characters. They click a little too well. And their plans seem to go ahead a little too well, even when they face an unexpected blip in their plans. I never felt like they were facing any real danger, despite everything happening in their lives.
This might have also had a younger audience than me in mind. I've read some serious fics, horror, thrillers and suspense, so I am used to characters facing some real horrors. I think maybe this story was written for people in their mid to late teen years,
With those criticisms aside, I enjoyed it enough to continue the series. Just don't expect anything spectacular. But it's a fun read, and it's nice to find a LGBTQ fic without it being primarily about them being queer.

Start of a series
In a dystopic world, three guys escape from a conversion camp, finding out the world is under an ailian attack.
They fight to survive and to find there dynamics.
This is not a stand alone. I already started with part two.
I love Nora’s language and Kenneth’s voice. They make a great team making audio books.

3 young men learning to survive and love
The United States has split into three, the Conservative United States, being gay will get you sent to a camp. Tan has been there since being found in a Gay bar 3 yrs ago, Austin 8 months and his father inprisoned as he knew Austin was gay and didn't hand him in to the authorities. Mack has just arrived at Camp.
A massive meteor shower creates complete chaos at the camp, and they all are going to escape. Austin finds Tan and they are grabbing supplies to leave when they meet Mack, who seems to know about survival so the 3 leave together. We then find out the meteors were spiderbots sent to kill all humans, before aliens land.
This is about 3 young men trying to survive and slowly learning to have feelings for each other, can't wait to continue the series.
Kenneth Obi brings this book alive. Brilliantly done
