About this listen

In a world where it’s every man for himself, all they can do is hold on to each other...

With soldiers next door, the situation has become dire for Austin, Mack, and Tan. Every time they find a solution for one challenge, another arises, ranging from family members who show up unexpectedly to reunions with people they’d never hoped to see again.

But they may have bigger problems when the earthquakes continue and concern increases about the Earth's crust stability. The only way to prevent an even worse disaster is to stop the aliens from drilling for more oil, but how?

They cling to each other as the future looks very bleak. Is there any hope left for a happy ever after for them?

Burn is the last book in the suspenseful Ignite trilogy, a slow burn MMM romance set in an alternative world. This series will end with a deeply satisfying HEA.

Interesting story

The concept is interesting and reasonable well written. The characters are likeable and the narration is very good.

Masterful

I caved in and read the book a couple of weeks before the audiobook was released, so I knew I was absolutely going to enjoy the narration. I think it is the best of the three, possibly because there are a great many characters to stretch Kenneth Obi's acting skills. He rose to the occasion magnificently. The alien voices are masterful!

The story reaches its conclusion in style. I had absolutely no idea how all the ends could be tied together and how Tan, Austin and Mack could have a HEA. There is no magic cure for Tan's PTSD which is just one instance of the realism I enjoy in this author's writing. Austin and Mack have grown to an awesome maturity throughout the 3 books, facing their many trials with admirable strength. The aliens always seem to add a touch of humour, while Tan's brother and his band of (former) soldiers become totally rounded additions to the story.

Maybe, just maybe, there is a chance of a revisit if the story of Austin's Dad and Pax is ever told.
