About this listen

I Hear You follows the journey of Tyler, a devil-may-care, party boy mechanic who loves his job, his friends, and his faithful dog, but the thought of settling down is the last thing on his mind.

That all changes when he meets Gabe, an adorably dimpled, floppy haired deaf man who challenges him in ways he never imagined.

As Tyler starts to fall for Gabe, he realizes his carefree lifestyle may be holding him back from true happiness.

Will he be able to overcome his past and embrace love, or will his desire for freedom and the lure of the party scene prove too powerful?

This heartwarming and steamy story of love, self-discovery, and second chances includes scenes of hurt/comfort, found family, and the cutest doggone puppy love. It is a must-listen for M/M romance fans.

Note: This story includes use of multiple substances.

Love can conquer all, if you let it

I really liked Tyler in the previous book, so happy he got his story!
Tyler, a happy, outgoing mechanic meets Gabe, a deaf dog trainer. They have their work cut out for them in trying to navigate a relationship - Tyler who never thought to settle down, Gabe has little dating experience. But they make it work. It's a lovely story of friendship, hurt/comfort and learning to love someone with a disability. Really enjoyed it.
I really enjoyed the narration - Dan Levy has such great voice for the characters. I also enjoyed the little sound effects, they rounded out the performance. Great way to experience a lovely story!

Outstanding narration

Where do I start? The potential irony of listening to a love story develop between a hearing impaired and a hearing character was not lost on me before I started. There is nothing criticize in my opinion, and there are no issues. And, yes, I was listening but you can get printed copies of this story too.

Tyler is car mechanic, devil-may-care play boy and dog daddy to Domino (Dom). Living day-to-day Tyler knows he is hot, he loves his weekly visits to the club where he can dance, enhance his dancing with a little something and most certainly a hook-up, a meaningless hook-up. Rinse and repeat. To some that might seem empty but to Tyler it is everything. Well, he thinks it is. And then, dropping into his favourite coffee shop for a brew his gaze meets Gabe's.

Gabe has been in the US since the young age of 19 when he came over from Italy. A young deaf man who knew no one and had not realised ASL was a very different language to his Italian sign. Meeting his now group of friends was his life line. He went through college and now owns his own thriving company training dogs. He is at one of the weekly meetings with his deaf group. Being one of the few who is an expert at lip reading means he can manage better than most. And then he locks eyes with Tyler.

Despite things he hears about Tyler. Despite his friends trying to warn him against a hearing friend or partner Gabe finds himself falling for Tyle, and his own dog is very. much falling for Domino! As the bond between the pair grows the strains are evident but nothing they can't find a way to handle and when well-meaning friends, as well reality tries to get between the pair they surprise everyone.

Dan Levy takes us straight into the lives of Tyler and Gabe, makes both characters his own, makes us feel as though we know them and he is guiding us through their story - he is and that makes him the ideal narrator for this series. Plus, as he is the series narrator we instantly know who all the supporting characters are, he maintains his differentiating voices brilliantly. I love it!
