Re-read as part of the series
I listened to this a few years ago as a stand alone and enjoyed it. I couldn’t face reading the whole series at the time but have since started to listen.
I loved Ryke and Daisy and their story. Ryke is clearly a great book boyfriend having all the things I’d look for in a book boyfriend including grumpy, Daisy is fun and a bit wild, and a bit young but I think is a great other half to Ryke. I love their free spirits and the fact they stick together choose as what is going in around them.
Again this is quite episodic and we go from Princeton to Paris, to Utah, to California and back to Philadelphia. There’s lots of drama and angst as Daisy and Ryke finally give into their feelings and become the third couple in the found family grouping. Again there is parental drama from both sides, I really do wish someone would put mother Calloway in her place once and for all - dreadful woman!
I still don’t like Connor and Rose as a couple. Rose continues to be too ridiculous for words. However I like them both as a sister and as a friend. I love Lily and Lo.
The performances from the narrators were absolutely fantastic and some of the best I’ve listened to. Both added to the story and did fabulous jobs.
Onto the next one where I u stand we go back to Lily and Lo.
