Summary
An underwater luxury hotel on a gorgeous tropical island is set for an extravagant opening weekend with the world watching. The only thing standing in the way of a first-rate experience for the jet-setting VIPs is an unscrupulous businessman and 60 feet of prehistoric shark. As the underwater complex is besieged by a marauding behemoth, newly minted marine biologist Coco Keahi must face off against the ancient predator as it rises from the deep with a vengeance. Meanwhile, a human monster has decided he would be better off if Coco were one of the creature's victims.

Good entertainment
Sure, it immediately reminds us of Jaws 3, but its also a decent stand alone story for the genre. Its not going to win any literary prizes that's for sure, but its entertaining and I find myself warming to the main character, Coco, who's feisty, plucky and intelligent.
I'm quite happy I used my monthly credit on it because I love the deep sea monster genre and it hits the spot well enough.

Great entertainment
Hotel Megalodon.
A great storyline in the genre of disaster movies.
This could easily be one of the best I've ever heard.

A great idea.
What did you like most about Hotel Megalodon?
I liked the ideas around a floating hotel that's costing so much that they make cuts/ tweaks as they are bringing it online that ultimately leads to problems when things hit the fan. Also the super shark idea. Who knows what lies in the depths?
Who was your favorite character and why?
Easily Coco. Clever and determined.
Have you listened to any of Andrew Tell’s other performances? How does this one compare?
No but I did like the narration.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
When Coco having reached safety decides to go back into danger to help others. That takes courage!

A good addition to the Megalodon genre
The story itself is good but feels somewhat like the writer watched Jaws 3 and decided to give it an update. Nothing really wrong with that but it's a little telegraphed in places.
performance is well done and keeps you listening.

I couldn't take to it
I love these kind of stories, normally, but for some reason I couldn't get into this one.
It has hints of Jaws 3 to it, which was fine, but think it was maybe the narrator's stop/start narration that, ultimately, put me off.
However, this is just my opinion. I always say you should have a listen and make up your own mind.
