About this listen
Every werewolf knows the meek won't inherit the Earth.
Fen Young is a half-shifter whose inner beast is more mouse than wolf. Home is her castle, the only place she's ever felt safe.
Enter Hunter Green, an uber-alpha strong enough to stop traffic with a single look. He's handsome and enticing and seems like just the ticket to broaden Fen's horizons...until the uber-alpha brushes off his admirer and summarily rejects her from her home pack.
Now treading water in the no-man's land of outpack territory, Fen must confront a missing pack mate, a tantalizing stranger, and a serial killer targeting half-werewolves. Will she be able to shore up her waning power in time to save her friend...and half-breeds everywhere...before it's too late?
USA Today best-selling author Aimee Easterling's new urban fantasy novel is chock full of adventure, romance, and danger and is bound to leave readers craving more.

Interesting!
This is a great urban fantasy wolf-shifter book with romance. It's fast-paced with good scene transitions. The plot and characters were mostly well developed. However, I didn't fully connect with the main character, Fen. Despite being clever, she lacked a backbone that is anticipated by the heroine. I'm assuming, as the series progresses, Fen's character will grow. Angel Clark's performance was great. Her reading well-paced and ideal for this story.
I think this audiobook is an excellent choice for new adults (NA). Perhaps, I would've enjoyed it more if I was in the NA age range.

Really dives into the head of a wolf shifter
Half wolf-shifter Fen has found herself at the head of her own mini pack, on the run, hampered by her timid inner wolf who gives her insufficient authority and a pack-mate called Ginger with a tendency to get them all in trouble. Into the mix come two new prospective pack members - a cowboy and an enforcer. Can either be trusted?
We're thrown straight into the action, with a bar fight prompted by Ginger's showing off, but from there the plot seems a little slow to ramp up to the real crisis. Partly that's due to the storytelling style, which focuses heavily on the inner thoughts, urges, and byplay between Fen and her submerged inner wolf. The upside of this is that you really get a feeling that Fen is truly dual natured, not just a human who happens to sprout fur on the full moon. I wouldn't have liked to lose that insight into her inner life, but its impact on the pacing stops me giving this 5 stars.

Enjoyable
I’ve really enjoyed listening to this book. The author has put her own spin on shifters and such and the end result is a thoroughly entertaining book add in some great narration and you have a winner

Good Urban Paranormal Story
This was my first experience with Aimee Easterling's work, and it was entertaining. Fen Young was a half wolf shifter who was released from her home pack. Hunter Green was an alpha male who had helped to get Fen removed from her pack. The story was fun. The characters were quirky. I liked Fen but it was hard to reconcile the idea that her inner wolf was so different than her character. I am looking forward to the next book in the series. Angel Clark's narration was good, and her performance enhanced the story's entertainment. I was given a free copy of the audiobook, and I have voluntarily posted this review which included my opinions.
