About this listen
Step into a world full of mystique, gods, and festivities, and bring their magic to empower your every day. The Norse culture, at its height, was a celebration of the people of Scandinavia and the British Isles, who practiced a religion as hardy as the lands they came from.
And within it were festivals—traditions born from the magic of nature—deeply woven into the fabric of Norse society.
You can channel this magic into your own life with the practice of Norse paganism. This book is your portal into the magic of Norse Pagan holidays and festivals, and it’ll take you by the hand into a world that is deeply entwined with the power of nature, with countless blessings of Norse gods and goddesses.
Inside this portal, you will discover:
- A comprehensive guide to celebrating Norse paganism–explore the festivities of nature, people, and magic deeply rooted in Norse customs throughout the year
- A quick guide to the months, days, and the cyclical nature of the Norse calendar (did you know that modern weekdays are named after Norse gods?)
- The 12 days of Yule—discover why this enchanting festival marks the rebirth of the world (and how it is at the root of modern-day Christmas)
- Everything you need to know about Blóts—enchanting rituals of reverence and sacrifice practiced by Scandinavian people to this day
- How the Norse people celebrated the contributions of men and women equally through Bóndadagur and Konudagur
- Why Midsummer was not a time of supernatural horrors (as pop culture might lead you to believe) but a celebration of fertility and nature’s bounty
- Fascinating tales and enlightening facts, straight from the sagas and historical records of the Norse people
- And much more!
Open a window in time to an era that was more in tune with the mystical magic of nature and bring it to your doorstep.
Chart your course through the history and mythology of Norse pagan festivals—the compass points Norse.

Intriguing and Interesting!
I knew relatively nothing about the Norse Pagan holidays but have become interested in their culture since I started dating my boyfriend, who has Scandinavian roots. I wanted to know a bit more as the holidays are approaching, and I will be meeting his family. This audiobook is FILLED with detailed information, and let me tell you, it is so interesting. I learned a lot and really think the entire culture is amazing, and their stories, history, legends and celebrations are fascinating. I highly recommend this detailed audiobook.

Such a fun read!
For someone who didn’t know or understand anything about Norse Pages holidays and
Festivals. This was very interesting! The accent of the narrator would draw you in and want to hear more. My one complaint, which is really not a complaint is that I would love to have had more detail into the holidays, but for a beginner this is the absolute perfect amount. I would like to go back and follow up on some of the holidays and how they correspond with current holidays as well. Very fun to read that. I would highly recommend for you or as a gift highly recommend!

Fun and interesting stories surrounding holidays
I've dabbled with reading a little bit of Norse mythology, so some of the concepts and ideas presented here were familiar. However, none of the myths I've read related to ancient (and current) holidays. The stories about the history of these pagan holidays, links to today's holidays, and the natural reasons for the various holiday traditions were fascinating. For example, living in a more southern country, I didn't realize there were only two seasons, summer and winter, in the ancient Norse calendar. I do respect how the pagan holidays here (as in all cultures) are very closely linked to agriculture, nature, and the survival. For instance, every culture seems to have harvest festivals and holidays nearly everywhere are aligned with the solstices and equinoxes.

Great fun book for the holidays
This is a really fun look at the holidays in a different way than we may be thinking at this time of year. There is some interesting parallels to today's holidays and customs that can be traced back to these ancient celebrations
