Summary
Zoo vet Blane Winters' grumpy attitude and muscles hide a romantic heart. He only relaxes when he's around animals, since he likes them more than people. He has some friends, a good job, and a place of his own, and he's sure that's all he needs. Until he meets a certain incessantly cheerful artist.
Studying meerkats as he paints a wedding present for his sister gives Falcon Harper the perfect excuse to creep on the hot vet. It takes his mind off the dreaded event. He’s happy for his sister, but his secret ex will be at the wedding...Spencer, who broke his heart years ago.
The solution is obvious: Blane can be Falcon's plus-one and show Spencer that Falcon’s moved on to bigger, better things all these years later. But feelings grow as Falcon coaxes Blane out of his shell. Just as happiness seems within their grasp, jealousy threatens to tear it away for good.
Grasp is a stand-alone gay romance novel with a HEA ending and no cliffhanger.

Great addition to the series!
Grasp is book 2 in the Significant Brothers series but can be read as a standalone with no problem. Greg Boudreaux did his normal fantastic job with this story; he doesn't just read a book, he performs it. He does great, distinctive voices for each of the characters.
I loved both of the main characters right from the get-go. I enjoyed the setting of a zoo for much of the story. The MCs seemed to be smitten with each other right off the bat and that came through in E Davies writing and Greg's performance.
I hope to continue on with this series.

Fake Relationship, Real love!
4.5 Stars. I absolutely loved this! It’s a fake relationship story, but in name only because those men were so smitten the entire time it was ridiculous (and ridiculously amazing). It’s super sweet and fluffy, but not lacking in substance because of it. Plenty of good steamy scenes (with a good build up to them), and lots of light hearted humor. Definitely has me even more geared up for the rest of the series

sweet with heart
another sweet romance with great characters, a bit of a lack of communication but it all works out in the end. I would have like more consequences for Falcon's ex Spencer and his slandering jealousy but I also get why he was passed over ones things get resolved as he's just not important. I loved the connection these two had and their chemistry is off the charts! I'm definitely looking forward to more if the Significant Brothers 😍

this was amazing! I finished it in a day, I couldn't stop listening. It was such a sweet book and it warmed my heart. I loved the characters. The dialogue was fantastic! So beautifully written. And the plot and the pacing were also really good. I can't wait to listen more books in the series, all the characters are so interesting

Charming & Romantic, A+ for Boudreaux
E. Davies' Significant Brothers series continues with Grasp.
My heart went out to Blane from the opening scene. Looking for a long term, serious boyfriend through Grindr hookups must be seriously frustrating, and he's such a sweetie, he deserves a bf who can give him what he wants.
Falcon is a little bit of a goof, but his heart is in the right place and Blane's steadying influence makes them a great match.
Yes, it's insta-love, but these guys are so ripe for it, it's a case of right guy, right time so it works for this couple.
E. Davies includes some charming scenes at the zoo, which I was looking forward to from the moment I found out one of the significant brothers was a vet at the local zoo. There are also some scenes involving Falcon's skeevie ex which adds a nice bit of drama to the tale.
Beautifully performed by Greg Boudreaux, his warm, sultry voice is perfect for this cast. I also enjoyed Mr. Boudreaux's southern belle accent for Blane's boss.
I can hardly wait to find out which one of the significant brothers' tale is next!

Favorite author and performer combination
I adore the combination of E. Davies and Greg Boudreaux and nothing about this book changes that opinion. Blane and Falcon were delightful to get to know and to listen to and Davies' enjoyment of the tropes of romance fiction shines through as always. Here, we have the fake boyfriend trope in all its glory and with two characters who are clearly perfect for each other but for various reasons resist admitting that fully to themselves or to those around them. It is amazing how Greg Boudreaux can capture that dual nature of the characters feelings in his vocal performance. You hear their resistance to admitting how they feel, but you also hear their sneaky little voices inside getting more and more insistent that they should go for it. As always, Davies has great villains and Spencer here gets a satisfying comeuppance as our two guys learn that past betrayals and current jealousies don't hold any power over you when you have love and support all around you.

an adorable romance with very little angst
Blane and Falcon made such an adorable couple, and I loved listening to their sweet romance unfold. From their awkward meet-cute at the zoo to agreeing to be fake boyfriends for a wedding, these two took me on such a fun journey. I've listened to a couple other audios in this series, and I have to say that this narrator has been doing an outstanding job with the widely expanding cast of characters. It's always easy for me to tell who's who, and I find his narration style very engaging. In terms of the storyline, I can't say there was anything particularly unexpected here, but I have such a soft spot for a good fake-boyfriends-to-lovers story. There's something so sweet about two men who start out as strangers doing each other a favor and end up realizing how compatible they truly are. I would say the majority of this book is a feel-good story with very little angst, and even at the end when Blane's workplace has some issues, it's never anything that messes with his relationship with Falcon.
**I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this book. This review expresses my honest thoughts and opinions.

Read these books a while ago so it was lovely to be able to listen to them.
The Significant Brothers are a group of school friends who are still in contact and meet up for monthly drinks, their group is expanding because of Significant others are now joining them.
That is apart from Blane, a Vet at the local zoo, he likes animals more than people these days and apparently that was showing on dates.
Falcon, an artist, who's sister is getting married and wants a painting from him, he decides that a painting of animals might be the best way to go, so he heads to the zoo and starts at the Meerkats exhibition. He's not looking forward to his sisters wedding as she had invited his secret ex to the wedding and was not looking forward to seeing spencer after he'd broken his heart.
This is a slow burn romance, that starts as fake boyfriends, the passion is there from the start but the dreaded ex tries to break them up and then creates problems, I wont give away any more than that. But rest assured we get our HEA.
A great read, the narrator was good and clear.
