Summary
Dr. Raymond Moody revolutionized the way we think about death with his first book, Life After Life, first-hand accounts from people who clinically died and then returned to life. Their experiences of going through a tunnel and encountering angelic beings confirmed life after death for millions of listeners and readers. Since the publication of Life After Life, thousands of people contact Dr. Moody each year to share the unexpected things they felt, saw and heard when they were close to death...or when someone dear to them passed away.
As a result of this steady stream of material, Dr. Moody uncovered another common thread to what happens when we die. Glimpses of Eternity tells us that family and friends are often swept into the firsts moments of their loved one's journey from this life to the next. Dr. Moody calls these "shared death experiences." Glimpses of Eternity is the first book to talk about this beautiful aspect of our spiritual connections with one another. Entire families gathered for a loved one's passing all see a bright light from an unknown source. Some witness a gentle mist rising from an unknown source. Others tell of accompanying a family member halfway to heaven. A woman recounts experiencing a film-like review of her spouse's life and learning things she could never have known otherwise.
The stories in Glimpses of Eternity are at once surprising and soothing. They offer comfort and hope, and shed new light on the mysterious journey we take at life's end.

Fascinating subject
The subject was very interesting with good case studies. The writer should perhaps have researched the Attenborough brothers though. The voice of narrator was pretty difficult to listen to as the tone and accent sounded strangled and monotonous and it was only my interest in the subject which kept my listening.

Thought provoking
A very thought provoking book that she’d light on my own personal experience of such a thing and which provided comfort. I’m wondering why there is no mention of animals in the other realm, only beautiful plants. It’s strange because many of us are deeply and profoundly attached to our animal companions, so you’d think there might be mention of them too.
Although the content is interesting, the books sounds AI generated.

Amazing book
Amazing book that fills you with hope and knowledge...
Made some things I've experienced on my life easier to understand, I'm grateful for that!!
Only gripe is the narrators voice..tried different speeds but nothing helped, sorry but it made listening a struggle, I persevered but feel it may put some people off which is a shame 🙂

Fascinating book, painfully read.
I was looking forward to more of Raymond Moody’s interesting studies into near death and, fascinatingly, shared death experiences. It was only due to deep interest in this that I was able to keep listening to the painful, expressionless and strained sounding narration.

I've loved Raymond Moody since the 70's
I am always happy to engage with his work. He is a real pioneer.
Although I am slightly disappointed he didn't read it.
That's it - content as ever is fascinating.

Another Great Book by Raymond Moody
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Interesting information/conclusions on shared death experiences, also collected stories from 1800's. I couldn't put this book down. I found the narrator's voice less appealing to listen to, but stories made up to that. Totally recommend this book.

The most annoying monotonous voice I’ve ever heard. Sorry but who on earth thought this person should narrarte this. I’m sorry
This person has the most annoying voice on earth. I’m sorry but who in their right minds thought this person’s voice was audible and acceptable. Just irritable….
