I love the series, this book will seem like a little bit of a filler

Getting better and better.

I'm loving this series, and it's just getting better book by book. Fantastic that it's the same narrator as well. not gonna give away any spoilers but the very end was brilliant that I'm starting the next book as we speak.

The next great adventure

Pedro does it again. This is the next stage in a series that just keeps building. The performance is excellently done. A performer who makes the characters come to life while remaining unobtrusive to the audience is hard to achieve; but he really has done it here.

Absolutely Engaging But…

Clearly this is aimed at a younger audience but I listen to the first one and that was me hooked.

It’s a 5 star story but some of the writing is repetitive and childish at times. Had this been written for adults it would be an astounding epic, but then the target audience is what it is. At times it becomes a little bit too WOKE, over egging that we are all equal, to the point it feels instructive. The message is utterly correct, the delivery questionable.

John Banks is masterful in the telling of the story and engages the listener to visualise the author’s words.

Overall, this is ideal for a younger audience, say 10-14, it may encourage young people to read. Ideal for long car journeys for families and commuting.

Straight onto the next one…

I Tried

The character writing is the weakest I've ever read. I feel almost 0 change from book 1. Nilsa is unbearable. I find myself hoping she'll die every book. The main cast often fall into being one note. Sometimes making the same gag 10+ times in 1 chapter.

The main character is extremely frustrating. Often putting things together or making decisions chapters after we've figured things out. The way he speaks to his pet is ignorant and disgusting also.
