Amazing

Love this series. The on going development of the characters means we're all good friends. Hoping Gerd gets better in the next book.

Pedro Urvi does it again

Who is this sadist that writes such amazing books? Pedro Urvi has talent that leaves the reader wanting more. Together with John , whose effortless narration is a joy to listen to, they produce works that live in the mind while listening to them. Having got up to speed with all the audio books I have listened to the entire series the time so far this year, starting from the beginning as each new book appears. The fourth effort will commence in September when book 15 comes out and hopefully we can have 16, 17&18 out fairly quickly soon after. Don’t stop at 20 please

Getting stale

I have been listening to this series and have loved it. Unfortunately the last couple of books feel like fillers. It feels like the story is being slowed down to get more books written.

The characters are great, the underlying story is still enjoyable. I hope the next book will pick up the pace a bit.

I have previously been so excited for the next book but I am not setting a reminder for the next one. I will get to it if I am not listening to something else. Which is a little sad.

couldn't get on with this at all

only managed a couple of hours of this. very strange writing style combined with flat, clinical delivery made it unbearable.

Monotonous, unrefined & painfully slow.

Characters feel like thryve made no real progress since book 1, just aging in number. They feel static & there are sometimes blatant contradictions or out of character outbursts.

Story feels like a slow cash grab. You'll get the content you expect in 1 book within 3 these days. No real progress, achievements or changes. No completed story arcs. Eg the main character just now learned the first lesson in magic, during book 14. Tempted to apply for a refund at this point.
