Summary

At age 19, pilot Dale Black miraculously survived an airplane crash that killed the other two pilots on board. Hovering between life and death for three days, he had a breathtaking experience of heaven. Against all odds and with insurmountable injuries, Capt. Black recovered from his injuries and returned to fly airplanes as a professional pilot, airline pilot instructor, and jet flight examiner. For 40 years he kept the story to himself at the urging of his grandfather to "live" his experience rather than talk about it.

The flight to heaven changed Dale's life, and now he allows it to be told in hopes of encouraging others with this wondrous experience.

Inspiring and heartfelt

As a pilot myself I was curious about the plane crash as well as the journey to heaven, both curiosities were satisfied. A very touching story about a teenager's battles with his injuries and his faith; brought a tear to my eye a couple of times and inspired me to reach for the dusty bible next to my bed. Listen to this even if you don't consider yourself to believe in Jesus.

Great testimony!

Dale Black whom the book is based on is the narrator. I loved listening to his often emotional, very emotional voice. A lot of technical jargon but necessary and not over the top. His dedication to spreading the gospel is so profound and lovely but not pushy. He reveals a God that loves us immeasurably no matter what your colour, race, belief, background whatever is.
