I’m enjoying the series

I like the setting of the book as well as the characters however I’m unsure if this is the last book or not as author could end the series here.

Not engaging enough!

I don't know what it is about this series but after the 1st book, I can't immerse myself in this series. I've read all of his other works but this one is not for me.
