A Useful Guide for Tweens
I got this audiobook for my nephew, who’s just starting middle school, and I have to say—it covers a lot of important life skills that aren’t always taught in school. From time management to decision-making, the advice is simple, clear, and easy for kids to understand. I really liked how it encourages independence and confidence without feeling overwhelming. My nephew even mentioned that he used one of the communication tips when dealing with a group project, which was a win! If you’re looking for a way to help a tween build real-world skills in a way that actually sticks, this is a great resource. Definitely worth a listen for both kids and parents!

Fantastic Guide for Building Kid's Confidence
This book is packed with practical tools that foster critical thinking, decision-making, and time management
—all crucial for pre-teens navigating the path to independence. I appreciated how it balances emotional intelligence with real-world skills, encouraging both courage and self-confidence. My favorite is the author’s analogy about kids as ninjas gathering different gems for self-improvement how they can instill self-belief. It’s an invaluable resource for any parent wanting to equip their child with the skills needed for lifelong success. I highly recommend it.

Bridging the gap between child and teen
As a single mom raising a 12-year-old son, I was struggling to help him navigate the awkward transition from kid to teenager. Video games and social media seemed to be winning the battle for his attention, and I worried he wasn't developing the life skills he'd need. Then this audiobook became our evening project - 15 minutes before bedtime. The practical tools section sparked surprisingly deep conversations about decision-making, while the time management strategies helped him balance video games with homework (mostly). Last week, he used the communication skills to resolve a friendship issue at school instead of asking me to email his teacher. Small win, but huge progress. For parents watching their kids approach the teenage years: this guide helps you teach essential life skills without lecturing. My son's growing independence is proof it works.

Independence with smart thinking
After my family and I checked out a different Skilled Fun title, we realized how much we got from it and were excited to take a look at this audiobook by Diane Pope also. Pope and the team at Skilled Fun have done an excellent job of bringing together a massive work of essential information that is sure to make things way smoother for the next generation when it comes to skills for life and help them also glean confidence. And during these years, confidence is super important to develeop so that we can be the best humans we can be.
