About this listen
Hephaestus. God of fire. God of blacksmiths. Reviled son of Zeus and former husband of the goddess of love. He's found his place in the mortal realm, working with his friend, Molly, and her team of supernaturals. And he's fine. He's good. There isn't a single thing he needs.
Until the day a witchy waitress walks into his life.
Can he get over a lifetime of rejection and the dangers of his own past and finally give happiness a chance? Or is he destined to spend his long life alone?

Audio Issues and AWFUL narrator
OK firstly there are a few audio Issues. In two occasions there are repeated sections. The first repeat is an entire paragraph that is repeated albeit a small paragraph, I immediately checked for phone/app issues and couldn't find anything. Went back 30/40 secs and again it was repeated. Occurred again later on but just 1 or 2 sentences. Obviously there was a recording issue. Obviously poorly edited/checked.
Narrator. Oh my goodness, the narrators voice was very monotonous, no inflections, no changes, no 'setting the scene' with the appropriate voice. As a result the characters and story had no urgency, feeling, excitement or any emotional 'pull' of any kind and appeared completely one dimensional and very VERY wishy washy. I've heard more emotion in a phone automated message! Narrators can make or break a book, in this book it broke it and the story suffered hugely. Very annoying considering Heph is one of my favourite characters. Put it this way, I wouldn't be getting another audiobook if it was done by the same narrator.
