Summary
When Montana first started playing in iNcarn8, his new game life, he just wanted to be one of the good guys for a change. But despite his impressive stats and incredible heroics, even his followers are just plain scared of him. Trouble keeps pouring down Montana, even in the remote, supposedly safe holding he's building into his dukedom.
All that will have to change if Coggeshall is going to survive. Walls go up and homes get built, but Montana can't shake the feeling that none of it will be enough to keep out the problems of the Empire. Or the world of Vuldranni.

amazing as usual
Book continues the journey of Montana in this strange new world. it contains all the humor and jokes seen in the previous books and includes some character development of some minor characters.
This is a hidden gem I cant wait for more!

Funny and enjoyable. Disappointing ending.
I'm really enjoying this series, although bit fed up of the Duke having a single-handed show down with a big bad that changes everything. however, my main issue with the book is the ending. Total cliff hanger. The entire book is basically just a trailer/prequel for the next one. it isn't a standalone story, which always strikes me as lazy writing. Sure, have multiple books as patt of a series. But each should be a standalone story in its own right with a conclusion (in my opinion). I felt like I'd been conned into buying yet another book to find out what happens next, which I resent. I am enjoying these books and did find thisnone entertaining, but if this happens again in the next one that'll be me giving up on them, as feels like the author's making a money grab. Worth reading, but don't have too high an expectation.
