Summary

What happens in the elevator doesn’t stay in the elevator.

When Laura Finch’s business partner hires Skylar to bring their company to the next generation, Laura sees red. An obnoxious millennial isn’t someone she wants to work with—they’re known for failing their side hustles. Since Laura gave up everything for Solace Inc to succeed, including her dreams of marriage and family, she’s not willing to risk it on just anyone.

Skylar Ross vies to succeed in her first big contract and won’t let Laura’s sour personality get in her way. Each day she finds something else intriguing about Laura and all the fronts she puts up. With a dash of humor and hope, Skylar bets on her sunny disposition winning Laura over. What she doesn’t expect is her growing crush on a straight woman to go anywhere.

Dreams are meant to be scary. What will they risk to make theirs come true?

Don't Quit Your Daydream is an age gap, lesbian romance that deals with infertility and grief that comes with the loss of dreams. Be prepared for the ride up to the sixth floor, where all the magic happens.

so much more than a quick romance

a captivating story with great depth in the characters. No quick forced ending to this one and it keeps you interested all the way through. Well narrated by Lori Prince who really brings the whole thing to life.

Brilliant

I really enjoyed Skylar & Laura's story. Having already read the book I knew the story was good but Lori's narration lifted to absoutely brilliant.
5 stars all round.

3hr start

and a depressing start, unbelievable that Laura could work with ex-husband after he cheats on her, then marries mistress and has a child which Laura can't, works with him for 15 years?
the story eventually comes alive with the Xmas party plans, after which skylar agrees to a date.
what is a very slow burn speeds up in new year, misses spring break which was talked of, and suddenly its July.
at least the narration is first class

BRILLIANT ❤

This is a beautiful touching slow burn romance that shows how true love can make dreams come true. Being afraid and downtrodden to just existing in life is not living! Meeting the woman of her dreams makes her life worth living and the strength to actually live happily ever after.❤
Fantastic narration that is amazing to listen to. 🎶

This might just be me

I hate giving a bad review but this was a really weird book for me. I basically just listened to 8 hours of one of the main characters being an absolute bitch. I'm sorry but just because you've had some shitty times doesn't justify any of this even when she softened later in the book. Then about 3 hours of slow burn and it ended.

I also understand needing a villain but the way Laura let Rodney treat her and speak to her was just too much. Not enjoyable to read.

There was so many times things were said that I felt was purposely creating drama. Like we hadn't just had an entire book of drama jesus give me a break.

All of this meant when they finally got together I couldn't enjoy them as a couple because I was so sick of all the drama and meanness.
