Summary

An Imperial Guard Audiobook

The Death Korps of Krieg arrive at a mining world overrun by necrons, determined to win this brutal war at any cost.

LISTEN TO IT BECAUSE

The Death Korps are unlike any other Astra Militarum unit – batch-bred, born to fight, and completely indoctrinated to their cause. See how effective that can be in this storming story.

THE STORY

When the necrons rise, a mining planet descends into a cauldron of war and the remorseless foes decimate the human defenders. Salvation comes in an unlikely form - the Death Korps of Krieg, a force as unfeeling as the necrons themselves. When the two powers go to war, casualties are high and the magnitude of the destruction is unimaginable.

Written by Steve Lyons. Read by Timothy Watson. Run time: 10hrs 43mins (approx).

An excellent Krieg Novel

excellent story, brilliant narrator it was a very good choice to keep the narrator from the "Krieg" book, his voice is very fitting, also if you have read that book and want more insight into how the Krieg work with PDF and civilians and how they react to them, then this is for you

if you want las gun p*rn and blood and guts, then it's also for you!

end of the story left me feeling genuinely melancholy too, very well done

Depressingly good! Oh so bitter sweet!

This book started quite simple but so quickly ramped up the stakes, made me fall in love with each character and how it all ends up just hit me in the feels!

Truly Grim dark and beautifully depressing. Im glad I read kreig before this as it helps provide another deeper perspective however not necessary at all!

If you want to listen to a great audiobook that hits you (or at least me!) strong in the feels then get this now! It’s so worth it man! Enjoy.

Good depiction of the Dearh Korps of Kreig

Overall a good story with memoriable characters that you easily can relate to, the ending was quite sad and shows the outcome of those effected by war quite well

Krieg Soldiers

Through and through. Yeah, it's a fun introduction into the madness of what it is to be a soldier of the Astra Militarum and the horrors of the Necrons....and Krieg.

Proper WH40K Grimdark

Proper WH40K Grimdark, just what you'd expect from a Krieg vs. Necron novel and what you'd expect from Steve Lyons

Similar to previous

Follows a similar pattern to the previous Krieg book with characters external to the Death Korps. A small ray of sunshine every now and then would be fine..!

A 40k story made actually made me feel sad

The story arcs for a lot of the characters were quite impactful and sad. It’s an interesting story about the loss of humanity and the cost of war. I’ve really enjoyed this and the previous Krieg book and I think Steve Lyon’s should do more work for BL as he’s really good at character arcs. The narrator was also excellent.

Need more like it

Was a fantastic book and very well performed.
We need more books about the death korps, they're such a good faction.
