The brand new, action-packed thriller from Stephen Leather.
Terrorists have shot down a British helicopter in West Africa and taken the crew hostage. Their lives are on the line and the British government is refusing to negotiate. The pilot is Liam Shepherd, and only his father - Dan 'Spider' Shepherd of MI5 - can help.

Paul Thornley brings Spider alive

This was another great outing of Spider Shepard and Paul really brings the characters alive. Yes it is more Islamic terrorism being defeated but that formula works well! Can’t wait for Stephen Leathers next book!

Always a great narration from Paul Thornleigh

Would be nice for plot to involve something else of national security outside of religious extremism.

Good book, easy listening

Enjoyable story, a bit cheesy but reasonably accurate (in a cute way;). Would recommend it for some easy listening.

Spider never lets us down

Good characters, a great storyline , slick and fast based action. That’s why people buy Stephen’s books, like Spider, he never lets us down. Well done. An the narration by Paul Thornley of course as ever is top notch. Keep up the great work.

Great story

Gripping story with good symmetry and great narration really enjoyed it. Highly recommend it. I love how you keep bringing back of the characters and giving them bigger roles
