Summary

Is it snark if you're a dragon?

Nico, a young dragon of barely fifty, is rudely chased from his home by a group of murderous adventurers. Of his entire clutch, only he and one sister remained, but now he is alone. Isolated and hungry, Nico’s magic awakens, bonding him with Cami, a brave young woman.

To hide from the adventurers’ pursuit, Nico takes on human form. However, once they discover that both he and Cami have magical abilities, they are required by law to attend the Imperial Academy.

Of course, he has to hide his true nature, which isn't always easy given a dragon-sized ego.

A refreshing new look at the LitRPG genre

This book is a little different than your usual LitRPG. Our protagonist isn’t a human thrust into another world, or even the usual Zero to Hero character down trodden but rising up.

He is a dragon, king of the skies, and he knows it!

Reading about his thoughts on these squishy humans and their flat faces is so much fun.

I highly recommend.

Superb

Just wow. Can't wait for book 2. Kinda perfect "grounded" power fantasy, although I feel that the MC is not really the main character, this role seems more fit for his SO xD

Got an OP AF dragon? Need a rider? I noah gal

Claws Out by #SeanOswald, a @PodiumAudio production. This is the first time I've read anything by the author but I really enjoyed this book. The world-building and characterisation were superb, especially the idea of an arrogant 🐉 dragon hiding himself in puny 🧙‍♂️human-form.

All 🐲 dragons are arrogant so how can that inflated ego fit inside a smaller human form? The answer is not very well, at first. Our MC dragon Nico is on the run from a bunch of self-swords, a motley crew of mercenaries. He is discovered by a girl, Cami, and their bond awakens.

Between them, they discover their magic and are pushed towards training in the Imperial Academy. Of course, Nico and Cami eventually become dragon riders when their bond reaches lvl 10. I enjoyed the pace and layout of the book, especially with an🔥OP AF MC⚡️like Nico🐉.

The author also brought laughter through Nico's temper, which often got the better of him. I liked the well-thought out skill sets. Particularly, the one which allowed Nico to transform into a half-human 🧚‍♂️, half-dragon 🐲 hybrid. So why Claws Out?

Well, it's all about Nico, and it's all about 🐉 claws. Sometimes it's best to go with the obvious. The narrator @NeilHellegers was incredible. His lovely deep-voice will leave many listeners swooning, he certainly ❤️swooned me📚 5/5⭐️ #bookreview
