Summary
A quiet living, slice-of-life LitRPG about farming.
The chance of a lifetime started with a gift. An inheritance of the Old Farmstead outside of the town of Summer Shandy. It’s overgrown, overrun, and filled with field monsters and in a bad need of a tilling. But it’s something, it’s a start, and for Jason Hunter, that’s all he needs.
And all his uncle wanted for him. A new start.
But farm life doesn’t come easy, as Jason will learn. With a mountain of chores that range from monster extermination to watering crops, Jason will need to learn to manage his stamina, build up his endurance, and maintain a social life if he’s going to live the quiet life in the country.
Get a copy of this nostalgic coziness and set off on a warm adventure!

Excellent story
If you like a story that takes its time to unwind then this is for you. The characterisation is great and it really pays off at the climax. You’ll love it if you are after a story that takes it’s time.

casual is right
while I was expecting a fairly slow story this was so humdrum in places that I struggled to keep listening. luckily towards the end things get a bit more exciting. I'm on the fence about whether to buy book 2 or not tbh. it's not bad but it does lack a bit of direction to keep it moving forwards

Couldn't get past chapter 10, felt like Cucking
It was..okay to begin with. I liked the idea more than the execution as it felt janky. What I couldn't get past was the "romance" part which was a large reason for why I picked this story up.
The build up is there, even some slight drama. But then suddenly a jealous guy she doesn't like shows up, threatens the MC into silence and then when he starts talking to her again she knows he has been threatened but still prefers the outright abusive guy. Nah, I'm out. I can't stand plots like this, it makes me feel physically ill. It is honestly the basic plot of a cucking story, and I can't look past that.
Bye, I'll never look at this writer again.
Oh, btw, no shame on the performer. It was well read. It is the story itself I have a problem with.
