About this listen

Years ago, Hadria Imperioli vanished after her father refused her mafia inheritance in favor of her younger brother. Now, she's resurfaced as Hades—ruthless leader of the Styx Syndicate mercenaries that terrorize Chicago—and she's hell-bent on finally claiming what's hers.

When her brother announces his engagement to sheltered beauty Aurora Verderosa, Hadria decides it's time to take back her mafia crown and everything else that belongs to her...

Including Aurora.

Abducted from her wedding altar, Aurora is thrilled at first to have escaped marriage to the violent heir to the Imperioli family. But she finds herself a prisoner still, at the mercy of Hadria's whims and desires.

Soon Aurora begins to crave the intoxicating taste of Hadria's lips on hers... and the wicked pleasures of a life lived outside the law.

Can Aurora resist giving into the darkness Hadria draws out in her? Or will Hadria corrupt her captive completely, coaxing Aurora to turn her back on innocence for the love of a vicious underworld queen?

Captive of the Crime Queen is part one of The Underworld Duet, a steamy contemporary sapphic mafia romance based (very) loosely on the myth of Hades and Persephone. For mature listeners.

FANTASTIC! 💖 LOVED IT.

This storyline is brilliant!
Mafia dealings are harsh and cruel and brother and sister battle it out for the empire, the power, the king pin slot and a woman called Aurora. This is captivating, I wanted more and more and I can't wait for the next instalment.
Excellent narration bringing together the characters struggles and the HOT romance expertly. 🎶💯

Well Worth.....

Well worth the credit, PB ups the ante in the Crime Queen F/F genre !
I prefer the 'Bianchi Duet' marginally but it was those two books that led me to this Duet !
The narration is excellent and this always lifts an audiobook. Hadria and her cohorts are violent and dark yet somehow you root for them. Aurora grows as the book goes on.
