okayish

I know that we are warned about the violence and so on before the book,. but the brutal violence seemed to have little story behind it, and it just seemed to be in the book for it's own sake.

Torture porn

Not sure why I decided to download this... A quick search on the Author would have let me known this would be rubbish. If I had to give a reason I did... I quite like horror. This isn't horror, I wasn't horrified, it's just a bit tedious, I did at least think the narrator was good, sorry you had to narrate this.

This title is essentially a thin story leading to one man's torture porn fantasy. If you like that kind of thing you will love this. The author reminds me of a child attempting to gross out an adult as much as possible, he's trying very hard to be shocking, I wasn't shocked, I was mostly bored. I'll say it now, graphic descriptions of torture and mutilation are not scary, esspecially not when that's all you have got.

If I could give a comparison, think of your favourite horror movie and how it made you feel, now find one of those ISIS execution videos and give it a watch (please don't), it's not the same . Must be some market for this stuff, I didn't enjoy it, just hope I'm not on some watch list now.
