Haunted Roads.

Another superb assortment of strange stories from the pen of Adrian Finney. From Cornwall to the tip of Scotland, from Wales to Ireland, this book has tales of the supernatural to tickle all fancies. From the phantom car that relives it's last journey and leads to the discovery of a previously undiscovered fatal accident to Highway men and Soldiers still making an appearance after hundreds of years. Even our friend the phantom AA man shows up again. A brilliant read/listen that'll keep you on the edge of your seat. Peter McGiffen once again excels in the narration with his wealth of voices and emotions. Highly Recommended.
I was kindly given a copy of the book by the narrator and leave this honest unbiased review.

Britain's Haunted Roads

Another great ghost story anthology from Adrian Finney and his Strange Britain series. This series offers introductory ghost stories from different UK regions, and then a series stories that relate directly to haunted roads and highways.

If you've encountered the Strange Britain books before you'll recognise the style, detailed, engaging, yet more anecdotal than melodramatic. The stories are more thought provoking than nightmare material. Personally I really enjoy these books, and this one is his longest yet, covering the South, the Midlands, up North and covering Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland on its journey.

Series regular narrator Peter McGiffen is on hand with his rich tones and range of characters helping to bring the audiobook to life. Another recommended 5☆.

Lovely Quirky Britishness

So many great stories covering the whole of the United Kingdom, all with the element of British quirkiness we love and cherish that become entertwined with our history.
Hopefully my eyes will not be distracted from the road on any night time drives while I look out for all the ghosts!

Spooky tales of roads in the UK

If you like to be scared, or even just mildly amused, this is a great listen. A tour of the UK featuring each area's haunted roads and byways. Well narrated with some good local accents, but one minor niggle in that the narrator has a slightly hesitant delivery, pausing in unexpected places which throws the rhythm of the narration. Hence the 1 star deduction.
