About this listen
I have three simple wishes:
- Keep my houseplants alive.
- Open a charming bed-and-breakfast in my small town.
- Never see or speak to Beckett Valentine again.
None of those things are currently possible.
When Beckett decides he’s also interested in purchasing the Horseshoe Creek Ranch, my dreams of owning a bed-and-breakfast become a nightmare. He refuses to give me what I want while playing dirty—a common theme in our rivalry. Because of him, we’re in a ridiculous bidding war for the land.
We might have hated each other since our teens, but the stakes have never been so high. And right now, I’m more determined than ever to take down my best friend’s older brother—cowboy boots and all.
Bless Your Heart is a small-town enemies-to-lovers grumpy/sunshine best-friend’s-older-brother contemporary Southern romance with rom-com vibes and a guaranteed happily ever after. Each book in the Valentine Texas series is a stand-alone. Warning: This book contains tons of Southern sass, sarcasm, and lots of spice! Fade to black is not included.

SASSY
This book was smoking hot full of sass and Southern grit, this girl just does not give up. I loved listening to this book with both the female and male narration. Both are fabulous actors and it was a fun and spicy listen. Definitely worth listening to again.

I really enjoyed listening to this romance. The narraters were awesome.Vanessa Edwin and Aaron Shedlock's voices were perfect.
This series is about the Valentine siblings and i read and loved the second book Spill the sweet tea.
Summer and Beckett have been rivals since high school.Summer wants the land next to her parents ranch for her bed and breakfast but Beckett wants the land too.
Summer hates him even more for trying to get in her way.Beckett is her best friend Kinsley's older brother, but she is on Summer's side.
Summer was so sweet and Beckett was swoony.
Loved the sassy banter between Summer and Beckett, the southern charm, family support and banter. There was laughter, romance, steam, low angst and a happily ever after.
I cannot wait for Harrison's romance next.

Fabulous Story & Listen🎧 Captivating & Heartfelt!
This fabulous small town, best friend’s older brother, enemies to lovers romance will not only captivate your attention the entire time but tug at your heartstrings too. The characters are realistic, easy to relate to and connect with, they are easy to care about too. Summer Jones always dreamt of opening and operating a bed-and-breakfast, so when she hears that the owner of the Horseshoe Creek Ranch is selling, she knows he has to have it. She does her homework, comes up with a business plan and is ready to bid on the property, all bringing her one step closer to making her dream come true. Except there is a hitch in the plan and his name is Beckett Valentine, her best friend’s older brother, who wants the property to expand his own horse business. Beckett puts in his own bid, and Summer wants to know what it is so she can outbid him. When she asks him, he said he would tell her on one condition, that she needed to go out on a date with him. These two have been secretly pining for each other, well, not so secretly, since everyone around them knows how they really feel for each other, except for themselves. I loved how everything played out in this book, the writing, plotting and world building is fantastic, as are the character growth and development. The witty dialogue and banter between them is hysterical, and the chemistry is smoking hot. This enjoyable story has it all, the drama, the heartfelt emotions, a touch of angst, some charming and heartwarming moments, and steamy romance. Lyra Parish, thank you for this wonderful story and emotional rollercoaster ride.
🎧📚🎧 And for the fabulous narration, Vanessa Edwin and Aaron Sherlock were the perfect cast to bring these characters to life. They had a complete understanding of the characters they were portraying, giving each a voice a voice that was fitting and believable. Edwin was fantastic as Summer, grasping every aspect of her personality, her strength and her determination. Sherlock nailed it as Beckett, playing the perfect swoon-worthy cowboy. Both were fabulous performing the roles of the secondary characters as well. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the characters’ emotions and had you feeling them all. These superbly talented voice artists are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another amazing listen.

Bless your heart
Vanessa Edwin and Aaron Shedlock narrate this book, and omg, this casting is so perfect it was so good. Vanessa has such a sweet, warming voice that makes me so relaxed and homely. No one can voice a cowboy like Aaron Shedlock he made Beckett even more swoony.
I can't wait for the next book and the rest of the series !!!!

I devoured this
Vanessa and Aaron made Beckett and Summer come to life!
The story was fabulous. Between Summer and Beckett's banter, Kinsley's lack of filter, and the sexual chemistry that heated up my headphones, there was never a dull moment.
I already adore this world and can't wait to see where it heads next.

Disappointing
I am 11 chapters in and can't continue with this story. The main protagonists are awful and the story not enjoyable at all. I've read a few of Lyra Parish's books which were interesting and while these narrators are good, they can't make up for characters and a story that are not worth the time or my audible credit.
