Recovery is a life-long process that brings permanent changes to both those battling substance abuse and their long-term partners. Accepting the loss of the marriage they had before his sobriety allowed Christopher and his wife to recommit to a new form of relationship—one based on an honest outlook of recovery. Some helpful points

This book gave me some helpful points, like giving space for recovery, the addict made the spouse a worse person. The book is more for those in recovery or post recovery and struggling. If anything I gained a better understanding so will be in a better position if we ever get to this point.
