About this listen
Former army grunt Jonah Browne was vacationing in Germany years ago, when the Molting began. Today, he’s a man tempered by his determination to keep his family safe from Molters, spending every waking moment defending against the bloodthirsty creatures.
But now, a new threat lurks near the cabin.
A community perseveres in those same German mountains. Desperate to survive, they are willing to sacrifice anyone - and often do. Their methods are barbaric, but the alternative means falling to the Molter horde.

Not really being hunted
In comparison to Book 1, this book is vastly slower paced. It mainly focuses on Jonas's family domesticity and him safeguarding their home rather than him actually being hunted by the Molters. There is way less action in this book. It comes across more as a family drama rather than a horror book, with lengthy discussions between Jonas and his partner that went on for far too long. If you are into family dramas you would probably like this book. There was a second story interjected but just like the family drama, not a lot actually happens in terms of action or story. The pacing was also off. There would be a series of long narrative about Jonas/partner dynamics and then the occasional short insert of the other storyline which was very unbalanced. The story is also very isolated and needed the injection of more diverse characters other than what was already presented or just more action. On a positive note you find out some significant information about the development of the newly spawned monsters, and a character from the first book. The narrator did an excellent job. I was given a copy of this book for free of my choosing and have voluntarily left this review.

Creepy!
Wow, this book was incredibly creepy, it gave me the chills, and I couldn't put it down. Things are looking more desperate by the day for Jonah and his family, but he's a smart man, if he can keep it together they may survive. I can't wait for book 3 to find out whats next!
