Summary

A sexy small-town, wounded-hero rom com!

Sawyer Landry knows he’s been beastly to be around for the past few months. But he can’t seem to remember how to be fun-loving and friendly. Until he sees Juliet Dawson on his boat dock...and realizes that hip waders are, apparently, one of his turn-ons. But despite the beauty in the boots, the last thing he needs right now is a city girl in his way for the next two weeks. But he’s not really getting a vote. Juliet is determined that her little brother rebuild the dock he and his idiot friends smashed. She’s quirky, klutzy, independent...and possibly an even bigger pessimist than Sawyer is. He’s incredibly drawn to the cynical fish-out-of-water, who seems to be the one person who isn’t intimidated by his growling. The big, gruff boat captain is the first person in a long time to want to watch out for her, and Juliet finds that hotter than his grandma’s jambalaya. Well, that, and his sexy scar, his emotional baggage, and the sense of humor and fun that is buried deep.

But Sawyer doesn’t need any more people to worry about long-term, and the things that make him feel protective of Juliet aren’t going to go away. So, this two-week adventure can’t be anything more than a fling. With Juliet down on the bayou, there’s an even bigger threat than alligators and hurricanes. There’s the very good chance of someone ending up with a broken heart.

Funny story in a great series

This was such a fun story. While you could probably read it as a stand alone, it's much better as part of the larger Boys of the Bayou series. I loved that it was the opposite of opposites attract, and how seeing someone else doing many of the same things that you do yourself can make you re-evaluate your own actions.

Gregory Salinas and Ramona Master did a great job with the narration. I would listen to them both again and would recommend listening to the audiobook.

I Love This Series!

Beauty and the Bayou by Erin Nicholas is a wounded hero romantic comedy that I listened to on audio narrated by Gregory D. Salinas and Ramona Master.

This is the third book in the Boys of the Bayou series and can be read as a standalone. However, I would highly recommend reading them in order since the stories are interconnected.

I absolutely love this series! Erin does an amazing job pulling me into the storyline. I had a smile on my face through the entire book. I loved the relationship that bloomed between Sawyer and Juliet.

I can't wait for the next book in the series Crazy Rich Cajuns to be released on audio so I can get Bennett and Kennedy's story.

Gregory and Ramona did an amazing job on the narration. They both really know how to bring a story to life. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

I would highly recommend this book if you love romantic comedies or small town romances.

Bayou boys (sigh) Sawyer, gorgeous

I love this series for the bayou boys. Sawyer and Juliet are so good together. I love the way Erin intwines the stories with the other members of the family so we get to know them all. Small town love story’s, my favourite and these are some of the best. Audio absolutely enhances the story’s.

I am loving this series.

This is the third audiobook in the Boys Of The Bayou series that I have listened to and I have thoroughly enjoyed each one.
I love the quirky, somewhat crazy Landry family and I really wanted to know Sawyer more. After losing his best friend in a tragedy on the Bayou, Sawyer became over cautious, but he has certainly met his match on that front with the quirky, delightful, Juliet. They meet when Juliet, who is determined to hold her brother accountable for drunkenly damaging the dock, comes to help with the repairs.
I adore Juliet and the more that I learned about her, the more I wanted to know. I was not disappointed by Sawyer. He was every bit the gruff, caring and powerful character that I expected him to be.
The plot is engaging, with plenty of humour and a good dash of steam. It's an entertaining recipe.
Both Ramona Master and Gregory Salinas delivered the strong performances that I have come to expect from these two hugely talented narrators.

Boys of the Bayou!!!

This series is one where every book is a new set of character but they are all intertwined. I have loved how each book has a new feel, a new voice, but still has that base I love. I have fallen hard for the Landry clan and can't wait to get more! Fantastic characters, great story and amazing narration. Easy recommendation!

Fabulous!

This was a more thoughtful episode in the Bayou series, with sweet Sawyer still working out his anxieties following from Tommy. Juliet is definitely his person! Her what it's match his and enable them both to support each other while finding love. Gregory Salinas and Ramona Masters are excellent in both their roles as narrators, bringing humour and warmth to the story. Loved it, though I don't think I want to go anywhere near all those creatures that live there!! 😱😂💖💖💖💖💖

Love Sawyer!

I really have been wanting to see this story more from Sawyer's point of view. There just seemed to be so much there. I'm glad I got the chance to see it. I love this series completely!

Sawyer and Juliet

The books in this series just keeps getting and better. The first book is awesome and this one is just over the top, so far it is my favorite book. Both Sawyer and Juliet have their own issues and demons to work through, the beauty of their relationship is that they work well together and through them together. I found myself laughing out loud at most of the situations these two found themselves in, and loving their passion for each other. Both the narrators did an outstanding job in bringing this book to life. Highly recommend!!
