AUREN'S STORY ISN'T OVER YET.
SHE WILL FLY. SHE WILL SOAR.
One king caged my body.
Another has caged my mind.
War has broken out between Annwyn and Orea, though that’s not the only battle being waged.
There’s a fight inside me, and it’s one I’m determined to win, no matter how much they try to strip me down and hollow me out.
Yet they’ve forgotten one thing. The ancient magic of the pair bond. One can never truly be lost when two souls are already bound.
Because Slade and I? We are connected by more than just fated magic, and we will always find each other.
In any life.
The fae king is trying to destroy me. My heritage. My memory. But what he hasn’t realized is this: gold bends, but stone breaks.
And a Goldfinch does not fall.
It flies.

The beauty of the storyline coming to an end.
I enjoyed the collection of stories in 1 singular series, so beautiful and excuisitely executed in this book series.

All loose ends tied, almost.
This book was really great in some parts and a little slower in others. Perhaps not as good as other books in the series and some rather quick transitions, especially towards the end.
It took me a while to get into the narrator in the first books, but got used to it. In this, Auren and Emonie were basically the same character/voice and Queen Malina was read in such a way that her arc did not pull me in at all. The voice is so shrieking it was almost to the point that I wanted to skip her chapters. That was a shame as they were important but I couldn’t wait for them to finish.
I’d like to have known what happened to Ryatt in the end, as he was a really deserving character and I felt he didn’t get an ending the same as the others. There were inferences but not enough.
A good book but the series as a whole was better.

amazing series what a talent incredible writer
captivated from the start, so detailed, multifaceted and heartbreaking in many places. Dealing sensitively with complex issues and of course the spicy elements were off the charts! Loved the evolution of the characters and how we had to work hard for any slice of happy. Great books would highly recommend.

Loved this series
I loved all the characters and the story, the only negative this is I didn’t like the main characters voice, when the lady does it.
