Summary

Brought to you by Penguin.

Reacher had no idea where he was. No idea how he had got there. But someone must have brought him. And shackled him. And whoever had done those things was going to rue the day. That was for damn sure.

Jack Reacher wakes up, alone, in the dark, handcuffed to a makeshift bed. His right arm has suffered some major damage. His few possessions are gone. He has no memory of getting there.

The last thing Reacher can recall is the car he hitched a ride in getting run off the road. The driver was killed.

His captors assume Reacher was the driver's accomplice and patch up his wounds as they plan to make him talk.

A plan that will backfire spectacularly . . .

'There's only one Jack Reacher. Accept no substitutes.' MICK HERRON

Although the Jack Reacher novels can be listened to in any order, In Too Deep is the 29th book in the internationally bestselling series.

And be sure not to miss Reacher no.28, The Secret!

Narration

I really liked the plot twists, just as you think it’s finished there is a twist and you have to carry on.

Fantastic

I’ve never read a bad Reacher book. This is one of the best. Throughly enjoyed it. I would have enjoyed a little more of Reachers intellectual side. But it was a well crafted story.

True Reacher & the plot just keeps twisting- nothing not to love. Another slam dunk Child & Child 🤩

Great story detail and characterisation.

Reacher at his best. Enjoyable read. Good narration that brings it to life with interesting characters and depth

Narrator Spoils the Story

I absolutely love Lee Child books and Jack Reacher. I found it really hard to get to the end of this audible book as I found the Narrator was so bad. He had no inflection in his tone and certainly did not draw the reader into the story.
Sorry Jeff but think you need to re think your style of commentary.

Atrocious narration

This is a solid and enjoyable Reacher title, but it is let down by truly atrocious narration that comes off as a parody rather than the real thing. Very disappointing.

Does exactly what you want a Reacher to do

Every couple of weeks I get an urge for Fish and Chips from the chippie round the corner. I know what I want, I know what I get and it's always exactly what I expect, fulfilling and hugely satisfying. It changes little, and I never want it to, If it did, I'd stop going.

This Reacher read by JH is that cod and chips and is just as satisfying and fulfilling. As a treat, it even had a portion of mushy peas on the side in the shape of a little jaunt to Andros in Bahamas. Like the peas, it was risky and preposterous, but ultimately worth it.

It's pointless to try and rate a Reacher in any quantifiable way but, on the Reacher scale, this one is a 10/10.
