Brought to you by Penguin.
From the million-copy bestselling author of The Book You Wish Your Parents Had Read, to help you with the most important relationships in your life
Life is all about relationships and the quality of those connections, whether that's with family, partners, friends, colleagues or most importantly yourself. If you can get those relationships on a functional and even keel, then the other tricky stuff that life throws your way becomes easier to manage.
In this warm, practical and witty book, No.1 Sunday Times bestselling psychotherapist Philippa Perry shows you how to approach life's big problems.
How do you find and keep love? What can you do so that arguments don't feel torturous? How can you get unstuck and cope with change and loss? What does it mean to you to be content? Are other people just annoying or are you the problem
With a healthy dose of sanity, Philippa Perry's compassionate advice could help you become a happier, wiser person.
Includes some material adapted from the Ask Philippa columns in Observer Magazine.

I absolutely loved this book. Straightforward wisdom kindly given. So enlightening about the way we behave and why. Really empowering in terms of letting go of self doubt and self flagellation. Highly recommended.

A thought provoking read
I absolutely loved The Book You Wished Your Parents Read and knew this would be a classic. It made me realise how important my family and loved ones are and helped me forgive/let go of any grudges and anger I had. I’ve will likely give it another listen.

A worthwhile investment of 6 hours.
The book you want everyone you love to read (2019) By Dr Philippa Perry
I enjoyed Phiippas third book, “the book you wish your parents had read (2019) ”, so I was keen to digest Dr Perry's fourth book also.
It put a “bit more meat on the bones” of similar topics to the last book.
The chapters are on love, connection, conflict, change and contentment - all important aspects of life which many people are challenged by.
Philippas words are honest, and based on many years of clinical experience.
A worthwhile investment of 6 hours.
Recommended.

Loved this!
Enjoyed all Philippa had to say, as a 24 year old I found that some of her selected emails and advice to be not that as relevant to me in my life as of yet. But enjoyed the listen none the less :)

Deepens understanding
Philippa Perry’s book is really great if you want to understand your own thinking, that of those you love, and of others in your life.
Perry is really clear and honest, and the case studies of people who’ve written to her with their problems are a helpful way to frame talking about how we think and how we respond to our own thoughts and actions, as well as the actions and words of other people.
I’ll definitely listen to this book again.
