#listen now
I loved this sequel to Sleepovers and I especially loved Nattily the goth, she is effortlessly cool. Nattily is by far my favourite character (along with Lily of course.) My only complaint is Cloe.
She is a stuck up brat and deserves a good talking to. Aside from that, this is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo good. To conclude my review LISTEN NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) :) :)

Ending could be expanded upon
The story itself was touching. I especially appreciated how Wilson went to considerable lengths to ensure that the characters, setting, relationships, etc, were all the same as the original novel, while also adding in more contemporary references to make it relevant to younger audiences. Of particular note, however, is the character of Lily. I felt that, despite her being a key character in the first novel, she played a small role in its events (save for Daisy’s party). It is therefore a blessing that, in this novel, the relationship between her and Daisy as sisters is significantly expanded upon, leaving us with a character all of her own, and a respectful and heartfelt representation of those with similar Special Needs.
However, I do feel that the ending was a bit rushed - it just seemed to end with a conversation amongst the remaining Alphabet Club members regarding Chloe’s disastrous sleepover. It would have been nice to hear perhaps a reflection on their friendship, with Daisy perhaps admitting the importance of letting friends do something they want to do for their own happiness from time to time, or reflecting on how something that may seem insignificant and trivial may turn out to be even better or more important than previously thought.
All that aside, a thoroughly enjoyable listen, and I would recommend this as a children’s novel to anyone with an appreciation for neurodiversity - or parties, for that matter!

I grew up with Sleepovers and I've always wondered what happened at the end when Chloe broke friends with the ABC Club
