Summary
Beauty Cookson is no beauty. She's a plain, timid girl who constantly feels inferior to the super-confident, snooty girls at school. Worse than the teasing in the playground, though, is the unpredictable, hurtful criticism from her father. Beauty and her meek, sweet mother live in uneasy fear of his fierce rages, sparked whenever they break one of his fussy house rules.
Eventually, after an unbearable birthday party and the very real threat of Dad's out-of-control temper, Mum and Beauty run away. Finding themselves in a quiet, idyllic seaside village, their new-found freedom and a moment of culinary inspiration give them a hobby, an income and even a new nickname for Beauty. Can they begin a happier, sweeter life – without Dad?

Okay but main character is a bit whiny
It’s great but beauty is a bit too sorry for herself even though she has A dad whose mean great narration though and there are lots of different voices but I think the narration on Mike was not great because it just sounded like the normal narrative voice with a hint of a different tone
All in all I think this is a great book would recommend it ages 7-10

how beauty wanted a new life and a rabbit at start and now at the end it came true
I liked how Buety loved Sam and rabbit huch but didn't care that it was for babbys

read this book! it's my favourite!
I loved it soooooo much! I especially liked the ending! I highly recommend it to all readers and can promise you that you'll love it! it us my favourite book! I also thought that the narrator's voice fitted perfectly in with the story!

Love it!
This is such an amazing book! The narration was brilliant, especially the voice for the Dad and Mom. Also great story. I recommend listening to some other Jacqueline Wilson books, as they are all sensational! Get this book! Thanks for reading my review ❤️

Best book ever !!!
I absolutely loved this audiobook , like 👍if you agree. It inspired me to bake !!! 😁🎂I would ADORE to live in rabbit 🐇 cove , and have tea ☕ in Peggy 's parlour SPOILER ALERT !!!!!!😜
